In fact, everyone knows well that Xia Siyu really acted well in this movie. You could even say it's better than Bo Yan and Shang Feifei combined; she's the soul of this film.
Moreover, even though Xia Siyu is third in billing—Bo Yan being first in "Storm," Shang Feifei second, and then her third—her screen time is almost equal to Shang Feifei's, if not more impressive. She could totally go for a Best Actress nomination, or if it really comes down to it, Best Supporting Actress.
As long as she gets a nomination, not to mention whether she wins in the end, but she wouldn't be scratched off in the first round of voting. She's the biggest contender for Best Actress tonight.
It's a pity, though, because of her "personal reasons," not only did she miss out on a Best Actress nomination, but she wasn't even nominated for Best Supporting Actress, and this even dragged down the film's ratings.
