The reporters taking photos on-site, and the audience watching the live broadcast on their phones, felt as if there was a mouthful of blood stuck in their throats — unable to spit it out, unable to swallow it down.
Just moments ago, the bullet screen was filled with mocking comments about her, like "Dared to come even without a nomination," "The culprit single-handedly dragging down the ratings," "Here to flaunt beauty again, huh?" But since she didn't actually show up, the comments turned into "???", "What the hell, I came to watch her stir things up," "Where is she? Start the fight already, is she scared or what?"
To be fair, onlookers wouldn't mock intensely like hired trolls do, at most they would chit-chat when bored.
