Did I just say something wrong?
Scarlett Xavier walked in from outside the door, seeing Anne Everett standing to the side, too afraid to speak after being yelled at by Julian Rhodes.
Even though Scarlett had heard everything clearly from outside the door, she still pretended she hadn't heard anything and asked, "Did something happen? Ms. Everett, you don't look very well; are you feeling unwell, do you need me to call a doctor for you?"
"No, no need." Anne said, "I'll head back first today."
She didn't even know why, but she just felt so timid in front of Julian.
When Julian got angry, she didn't dare to confront him.
However, she couldn't figure out what she did wrong to make Julian so angry.
After Anne walked out, Scarlett looked at Julian and said, "You scared her away."
Julian said, "I've been displeased with her for a while now. Now that I'm injured, I just wanted to scold her a bit to stop her from trying to milk the situation."
