The eighth floor of the Blood Prison was pitch black, with only a lamp glowing in the room at the end, dispelling the silent darkness and warming lonely hearts.
The silent prisoners in other cells quietly watched this scene, many uttering painful, hoarse sounds, as if it were the anguished wails of souls wrung dry. From their dry eyes, tears of recollection flowed for the first time in years.
