"Ta-da! Welcome to the bright debut of Mr. Ellison!" Tyler jumped out, "So, isn't it a huge surprise?"
Aurora Blaine snapped back to reality; no wonder Tyler wanted her to answer the door.
Aurora stepped aside, smiling softly, "I thought you disappeared."
She really hadn't expected Miles to come over, "Got some free time?"
Miles stepped in, his voice seemed tinged with a bit of fatigue, "No, I'll fly back shortly."
"You didn't have to go to all this trouble, just give me a red envelope," Aurora joked.
Miles took off his jacket, raised his left hand, and unbuttoned the cuff of his right sleeve.
Aurora noticed his intentions, "You're going to cook? You seem pretty tired, let Dean do it."
While she was away, Miles was busier with work, very tight on time and exhausted.
"The birthday girl must eat well," Miles kept his gaze on her face, his voice deep, "Take off the makeup."
"Yeah, I like it when the boss is herself, it's just a few of us, it's okay!" Tyler chimed in.
