Ryan didn't react for a moment, "Huh?"
"I'm downstairs." The man's breathing was a bit heavy, giving a sense of instability.
Hearing this, Ryan went to the balcony and looked down.
At night, the man was dressed in all black, the moonlight spilling over him, his shadow elongated. Just standing casually, he had a model-like presence. He stood to the side, so Ryan couldn't see his face.
Feeling her gaze, the man looked up.
Ryan saw the familiar face; Adrian Knight was just looking at her, not speaking.
Separated by some distance, Ryan couldn't really see his expression.
"Okay, I'll come down right away." Ryan said, then hung up the call.
Her busy second brother coming downstairs at night—was there something urgent?
Afraid of making Adrian waited, Ryan rushed downstairs.
The maid saw her coming down in her pajamas, seemingly about to go out, and hurriedly reminded, "Miss, you..."
Ryan dashed past without paying attention to what the maid was saying.
