Hong Ye stood at the doorway.
When he saw Su Yan, he paused for a moment.
"Miss Su Yan."
Su Yan nodded.
"May I come in?"
Hong Ye spoke up,
"Please wait a moment."
As soon as he finished speaking, Hong Ye walked into the room.
After a short while, he came back out.
"Miss Su Yan, please come in."
Su Yan walked into the hospital room holding three carnations.
The carnations in her hands seemed nothing compared to the flowers that had been gradually moved out before.
Feng Rong sat on the hospital bed, turning his head to look at her.
His gaze was dark and contemplative.
Then, he said,
"Is my little stepmother here just to see me with only these three flowers?"
Su Yan walked over and placed the flowers in the vase beside him.
She spoke slowly,
"All the money was only enough to buy these three bouquets."
Feng Rong lifted his eyes to look at Su Yan,
"All the money?"
Su Yan nodded.
Just after she responded, Su Yan spoke up,
"I'm hungry."
