Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS
One day, war broke out between the two races.
After a long battle, the humans were victorious.
The humans sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.
As the years went by...
Humans have begun to forget about the monster's existence.
Due to carelessness, humans have stopped developing soul traits.
Only those who are worthy keep their soul traits.
Humans have kept the rule never to climb up MT. Ebott, where they keep the monsters sealed.
Those who climb up, never come back down and if they do they're to be executed.
But, one man ignored the rule... and ended up coming back down.
"Mother? When is father coming home?" A boy said concerned.
"Lucas, I'm sorry but your father can't return." his mother said.
'Your father violated the rules, once you go up the mountain you can't come back down". she explained. Lucas was worried about his father but also filled with anger and disappointment because his father had violated the rules. He doesn't know how this is gonna change his lifestyle and if his father is going to be okay. His mother saw the concerned look on Lucas' face and walked over to him to try and comfort him.
"Hey, why don't we try to sleep it off? I'm sure your father is fine, he can fend for himself" she explained while smiling. Lucas' mother knew the consequences of going up MT. Ebott in the first place, but also knew they would be in deeper trouble if her husband came back down. She tried tucking Lucas into his bed and laid beside him.
"Everything's gonna be okay" She whispered while rubbing his head. Lucas slowly but surely fell asleep while laying in his mother's arms.
"HEY, SOMEONE CAME BACK DOWN MT. EBOTT!!!". Is what Lucas was rudely awoken to, he rubs his eyes and looks over at his mom who is in a state of shock.
"Hey mom, are you okay?" Lucas asks his mother very concerned.
"Lucas we need to go now!" His mother demanded. At that moment someone came banging on the door.
"Daina open up it's me!" A deeper voice shouted. Lucas' mother ran towards the front door of their home and swung it open.
"Dad!" Lucas shouted while running towards his father. "But how? How did you make it back?" He asked his father with a concerned look.
"There's no time to explain Lucas, but we need to get out of here now!" he yelled his voice sounding shaken. Lucas' mother had known this was going to happen if he'd returned.
"Joyner, are we gonna be okay?" Lucas' mother asked in a worried tone.
"No, we won't have enough time to escape but Lucas can" Lucas' father explained. "Lucas, you have been gifted with the soul of destruction, use it to stay alive," Lucas' father said in a rush.
"Go! Take the back do-" Joyner is interrupted.
"No! I-I cant' leave you two, you're all I have" Lucas screams.
*Footsteps in the distance are approaching*
Joyner smiles, "I'm sorry Lucas" Joyner pushes Lucas to the back door.
BAM the door swung open, the angry mob rushes into their home...
