Celeste smiled ever so faintly and silently continued snipping off thorns. For a while, there silence between them. It wasn't awkward, but peaceful. The kind that feels lighthearted. The sun...the birds...the flowers... It was such a perfect moment.
Lukas didn't break the silence either. He simply watched her—watched the way her hands moved, steady and graceful, the way her lashes lowered with each delicate snip of the shears. Something about her in that moment was almost... serene.
The sunlight spilled lazily through the tall windows, catching in her hair like gold threads, glinting off the petals like jewels. Outside, birds sang soft and distant tunes, weaving themselves into the gentle hush of the room.
He leaned a little against the edge of the table, eyes softer now, though the mask still shadowed half his face.
His hand then grabbed hers which was holding the shears, squeezing it tightly.
"You're coming with me, right?"
