Instructing went up a level?!!! Finally! But what does it do now?

So I made him skip an evolutionary step?

Peter's body is no longer changing so he must have finished evolving already. He's now bipedal and looks like a humanoid covered in shiny scales that seem to be constantly changing their color. He has hands though they seem a bit rough and end in claws…

I see, he gained skills for a breath attack and a tail attack as I told him… and the hands are probably from his evolution into a kin that humanizes monsters. Did I guide his evolution into multiple directions and at no cost to myself?

"Um, Guy, why do all my new skills sound kind of you know… weird?"

"How would I know, I didn't tell you to get those specific ones. What did you think about while evolving?"

"Well… I thought about getting a tail attack, but was unsure of what kind of tail attack would even be useful since my tail isn't spiked or anything. So I thought, about how nice it would be to be able to ward enemies off if they got too close. I also thought about breath attacks but fire and such things seem kind of scary and I'd probably be seen once I use them. So I was kind of hoping for a breath attack that would keep others from seeing me… but what's that got to do with these skills?"

"Easiest way to find out is to test them. Attack away Peter."

Clink's method may not sound very scientific but if Peter uses his skills on her we will know what they do without anyone getting hurt. After all the level difference between Clink and Peter is massive. If he could miraculously injure her, that would probably make him more of a freak than me!

Do you have to ruthlessly reality check me at all times?

I see.

"Okay, here I come!"

Peter launches himself at Clink and vicious tail swing. Clink doesn't really move and just lets the tail hit her. Then, miraculously, she takes a few steps back. The face of her undead does not show it but her voice reveals clear surprise.

"You pushed me back? I mean I wasn't exactly trying to remain in place but for a strength stat like yours to move me… that's a useful skill. Go again, I want to know how it works."

A rather comical scene ensues as Clink repeatedly takes between one to five steps back.

"So that's it! Kinetic energy is stored in the tail and transferred upon contact. But your skill allows you to transfer a disproportionate amount of kinetic energy that you tail could never transfer based on contact. If you use this against heavy opponents it will be especially effective since the transfer of kinetic energy works even if you only touch them lightly. Next, the breath attack."

Peter opens his mouth and spouts out a dense cluster of droplets that hit Clink square in the face. The breath attack is very visible though it doesn't catch as much attention as conventional breath attacks.

Clink doesn't react at all. Neither the armor nor the undead seem at all bothered. There's literally no effect. What does lachrymator even mean?

"It's not, cough… capsaicin! Corpses don't bleh, react to that."

Clink's undead coughs like it has something stuck in its throat and its eyes are watering slightly. Then, as if taken away by magic, the impending tears and the coughing disappear.

"It's not a very strong effect against superior foes. Just a few coughs got it out of my system. And I could have suppressed the effects if I wanted. But against enemies your level or below, this could be very effective."

"I think I get it. Peter wanted a breath attack that would prevent others from seeing him. He meant for a breath attack that could be released without notice. He got a breath attack that quite literally stops his enemies from seeing him since it will mess with their eyes and respiratory system."
