As Ling Tian was exploring his system interface, he saw a old man coming towards him.
"What are you doing out here so late at night?" he asked
Ling Tian didn't know what to say so he just said "just gazing at the sky.
"Even when there is such an important event tomorrow? Youngsters these days.."
Then suddenly his mind felt like it was being destroyed, like it was be stabbed by 1000 needles, memories flooding his mind. He quickly mumbled something to the old man and scurried away before he collapsed.
Ling Tian woke up and wanted to know what the old man was talking about, so he tried to remember what. It turns out that the best sect in the area was recruiting today! And his old body lived in one of the most populated areas. He speedily made his way into town, as he would need some guidance in cultivation although he can probably ask the system for some stuff.
When he got into town, he was bombarded with many offers to join sects, seeing as he was such a talented cultivator at such a young age. He politely declined them all before going to the place where Offensive Earth Fire sect was holding its examinations to recruit disciples.
He got there quickly as he was moving as swiftly and nimbly as he could and was already a stage 6 body refining realm, the examination area was crowded to say the least. 30 minutes after he arrived, a handsome middle aged man announced with a loud and powerful voice, "Everyone who wants to participate in the trial to join the Offensive Earth Fire sect please come onto the arc". Everyone was confused, because there was no arc, until a massive flying ship, the size of a mountain, that could conformably fit more than 10,000 people came from the sky.
Some were saying goodbye to their crying family, wishing them luck, some hopped on as soon as they could as if it would disappear if they didn't get in immediately, Ling Tian belonged to the latter group, as he didn't have a family, as he was dropped off at an orphanage when he was young.
After everyone got on, the arc sped away speedily, going faster than the speed of sound, but everything seemed normal on the inside. The man who originally announced the arrival of the behemoth they are riding on, said to line up in horizontal rows.
The man explained a bit about the trials, but he didn't reveal too much information.
"There will be 3 rounds to the trial, one to test your affinity for cultivation, one for you power, and one for your combat ability, in which you will fight 3 other people, I will give you all a cultivation technique incase you don't have one already" only a couple people needed one, as cultivation techniques are really common and abundant, at least the low grade ones. "It will take 5 days to get to Offensive Earth Fire sect, so as we are travelling, please cultivate and don't waste time. You are all dismissed."
After he finished speaking most people went to their assigned rooms, Ling Tian included. As Ling Tian started to cultivate according to the Divine Chaos Cultivation Method, he found it a bit boring... at first. Once he got into it he felt like he didn't want to stop.
"My god this is awesome, much better than I thought It was!"
As he was obsessed with cultivation, five days quickly passed, and his cultivation soared for such a short time.

As he was immersed in cultivation, he heard a voice calling everyone on the ship
"Everyone get out of your rooms, we are at the sect."
As he was leaving his room his stomach started to growl, as he had not eaten in 5 days, although he is a cultivator, he is too weak to not go without food, heck he is barely standing as he barely got any sleep either.
As everyone was getting off, Ling Tian was shocked by how hot it was, it felt like hell, 'although its called the Offensive Earth Fire sect shouldn't it be a less hot? Normal people can barely even survive here.'
When he got off, the the elder who was with them, stated,
"The trials will begin in 2 days, so make your way to the housing area to the right, these tests will determine your standing in the sect, so prepare as much as you can.
As everyone looked to the right they saw shabby looking houses, Ling Tian didn't go to the houses first, and went to see the rest of the sect to see if he could find some food, eventually he found a market, people selling weapons, amour, ores, spiritual herbs, clothes, food, and pretty much anything needed.
Ling Tian found himself in front of a food staff and realized he didn't have any money.
"Hey brother can you help me out, I need some food but I don't have any money , can you give me some food and ill pay you back later?" Ling Tian asked the man at the counter who then replied
"Do you take me for an idiot? Scram if you don't have money!" Hearing that, Ling Tian dejectedly walked away while someone else went up to the stand and got two steaks, came up to Ling Tian, and gave him one, and said "Here you go brother"
"Thank you! I will definitely pay you back in the future! What's your name?" Ling Tian said as he was trying his hardest to not eat the steak like a madman.
"My name is Chu Ike, there is no need to pay me back, its just a small deed"
"My name is Ling Tian, I'm trying to become a disciple here, soon you will be my senior brother."
"Hehe we'll see, I wish the best of luck to you!" he said as he walked off, while Ling Tian scarfed down the steak, he was still hungry, but it would do for now.
