"You're not the only hybrid here, mate." He stated, staring straight into her eyes and roaming his gaze to every feature of her face. This was the closest he had gotten to seeing her. His breath hitched, not by her hands on his throat; they weren't even that tight to choke him. But from how breathtaking she is, added to that the fierceness in her golden eyes. His wolf inside was ecstatic that he couldn't restrain his smile behind the mask.
It irked Melisca that he wasn't even fazed by how she treated him, and he appeared amused. His twinkling eyes said it all.
"You're like me? Then why were they not after you?" She tightened the grip on his throat. Though she had him on his neck, the way he looked down at her due to his towering height was like a king to a commoner.
"My story is different. I can tell you when you join me."
