Chapter 165 - Chapter 164 Burning heart

Avalon stared at his hand clenching onto the tree, Sandel curled around her like a cloak, she glared down at him. Her gaze met his she saw him shiver from what she thought was awareness. It wasn't. Its delight.

"That's it light fire brand, take my hand…" Bal muttered almost a purr, begging her it seems, Bal waited, his hand twitching, hoping for her to reach for his hand for him. Bal tilts his head, his hair over one of his eyes, his lips curled to a wicked grin his teeth gleaming a pearly white,

"Come on, firebrand, take my hand, seal the web that already surrounds you," Bal emphasized

Avalon stared at him her hand burning the tree. The iridescent flame crawled down the tree, her gaze shone like stars, silver light glowed down on him her face was unclear of emotions. Sandel showed on her shoulder. A murmuring sound was heard by her ear,

"It's clear now, he has it. Blake got what he wanted,"

Avalon peeked at her angel a slight, unnoticeable nod. The fire scatters around them on the trees, the flowing grass, and the road, but most notably, Bal's hand is covered in a mass of strings, burning them. Bal's grin faltered, his hand burned as he waved it through the air to stop the fire burning on his hand. He growled with his piercing eyes that could cut through her if he wanted, he didn't for now, he swiped his hand at his side a scoff came through his lips,

"Burning my hand how strange you two think so little of me… quite the same as well," Bal commented his hand steaming when more strings curled around it, making a sort of bandaid. Formoir appeared on his arm his eight eyes gleaming predatory blue and brown like Bals, his legs bent ready, as if he needs to lunge at someone,

"You play by twisted games I've seen played before," Avalon assured her hand opening a fire burned in it Sandel made her flame grow hotter, brighter than the ones from before, her gaze narrowed, hearing Formoir's voice intimidating with hints of more drastic internet lingering in the air,

"Twisted games, isn't that amusing, it's always been a twisted game between us hasn't it Sandel?"

Formoir bounced onto the tree beside them with Bal following the stings that connected them, he took hold of the tree, his body jerked, and he sunned pull but his eyes lingered on Avalon even when Caille shouted out for him not the shadows lurking around the tree hes holding on from Don, his rabite moved into a specter helped Bal stay on the tree, Bal smirked swinging on the tree his hand held towards her as he observed her, the power the rescinded in her and the angel, The faire that tempted him sense he heard of the flames that came from a hidden lab in the woods, that burnt away the metal it exhilarating, now he saw it for himself closer than he had before, the heat from her fueling him,

"That's the power I knew you had, firebrand. I knew the articles were true, some a but out there but real, the moment you broke through the window the first time I saw you, the nonchalant care you held, facing your new threats, your new enemies." Bal confided

Formoir rushed up his arm with the strings connected around the tress gathering around them. It showed a shine from the moon, a web above them, around them, it moved with the wind. Avalon witnessed the string encompassing them it shined throught the flames, showing them but the moon made them all appear, it glided across the roadside, Avalon glanced at Sandel her gaze nonchalantly peeked at Bal and Formoir,

"We can burn these stings? Is there some sort of angel immunity with this?" Avalon asked, her thumb pointing at the string. Sandel let out a faint chuckle her flames descended around her, the image of them in it,

"We can burn them, but not as easily, it won't be like the webs that wrapped around his hand. This will take some time to burn through," Sandel explained

Avalon glanced at them on the other tree, her hand burning with the brighter flame. Then, like a blushing wind, they moved. Avalon held onto the tree tighter, her hand whipped to the side the flame drifted with them. Avalon listened her eyes scanning through the strings tethered to the trees.

"Hmmmahaha,"

Avalon heard his laughter around them couldnt find where he was, it bounced off the string asking the echo of his laugh, it's haunting making Avalon stiffen from hearing it, Sandel curled around her when a shit if sting hit Avalon cheek throught there flames, a small but appeared on her cheek Avalon's head tilted to the side when her gaze catches Avalon shot her hand out a dagger flew out of it, the string around it burns it did break the strings until it sliced through it, cutting multiple of the string caught in its path, Avalon spectated where the dagger cutting the the laid trap before them, cutting the said of Bals face deep enough to leave a scar. Bal grin didn't falter from the cut he only glanced down at it amused as he peered back at her,

"You got through the trap I placed," Bal purred, staring at her through the broken strings, his grin grew with the strings hand arms opened, offering himself to her.

"I like that a challenge of great fire," Bal utters he licked the blood dripping down his cheek with Formoir crawling from his arm leaning onto his neck its eyes like its host gleamed at Avalon and Sandel maniacally. There eight legs twitched in excitement, interception leaking from them, Avalon glared at them feeling the fires heat in her hands got worse from her inner emotion, Sandel held Avalon's neck her flames, cradled Avalon,

"It got through the strings, it took more then i intisapted you will have to try and cut them, faster than before," Sandel explained,

Sandel glanced at Avalon not wanting to keep her gaze away from Formoir, the scampering bug moved around Bal the string the cut now retied to the trees around them, the cage closing in around them. Sandel saw the look in Avalon's eyes. Advorary, the treat of the situation there in. The one she promised they wouldn't be in. Sandel the observed it grew into a determined caution. Sandel sighed her voice exasperated,

"What you have in mind will end with some of the forest on fire Avalon,"

Avalon peers at her, her voice hush understanding, "It might if I don't securely place this."

They hear the wind rushing past Avalon's head on both sides, hitting Sandel, and it burns into the tree behind them, the string still intact. Avalon peered at them for a moment, moved her hand connecting with Bals fist, he smirked at her. The string around him sprang from his body, cascading around Avalon. Bal smirked down at her, exhilarated. The goosebumps that littered his skin made him jitter with excitement,

"This excitement, this overwhelming power…I feel it…I know it's you Avalon," Bal spat The strings around Avalon grappled onto her. The flames burned some that stilled her, tired her to the tree, Avalon inspected Bal as he held his hand on her neck tight where she could just breathe enough to his will. Her arms stretched the string, wanting to pry his hand off her throat, Bal examined how she struggled under his grasp her flames burning at his strings, sending a heat through him almost the sensation of being burned alive. He grins at her, tipping her to stare at him,

"Not just Sandel, no, no, you that surge of untapped strength laid in the depths of your spirit, I want that Avalon," He seethed, his finger tracing over her cheek next to her cut. Bal leaned in, his lips brushing against her cheek, he licked the dried blood off her cheek, searing his tongue, Avalon glared at him, her arm stretching the string her fire grew tring to break the strings, Avalons eyes widen as she heard a deep gruntel moan. She gauked at him her shaking from the pull of the string, she thought it was the strings but she saw the dark gleam that stared into her blistering silver hues, he lean into his string, holding him up. He glared down at her eyes gleam predatory, reaching his hand out with strings connected to it as if blades,

"I want it, Avalon give it to me!"

He swings him hand down the strings followed the sound of blades slicing through air, Avalon saw it descend her flames rose through them the string holding onto her persisted, the string made it to her head when the strings tears apart from her, the sounds echoed through the forest, Sandel surged around Avalon casting a protective fire around them, but webs escalated over the fire, it burned on impacted but it swindled the flames, Bal and Formoir saw into it they weren't there. Bals eyes widen his gaze, enraged, panicked, peering around the tree Formoir spectated the flames that burned in an orb,

"Where did she flee to, Formoir?" Ball growled, his hand tightening around the strings holding him. He heard the worried shouts of Caille, her voice cold but annoyingly high pitched, calling out his name while he felt Dons seethiering darkness not far from him. Bal glared around, his gaze halted on Formoir, trying to decipher the growing fire in front of them. Formoir held onto Bal tight, making him bleed he remebered now this orb, Formoir pulled his strings trying to move them, when The fire scattered, burning the surrounding area. Burning away the strings that held them, Bal fell his hand, grabbing onto the tree he burned his hand, looking Formoir, he clamped onto Bal's arm, creating more strings, breaking there decent.

"They caused a bomb. I didn't think she would be this reckless." Formoir uttered, shifting he glanced at Bal, seeing him standing on the shining strains, seething. He stared at his angel, the strings around them shaking from Bal,

"She made a fucking bomb to burn us alive?" Bal asked, his eyes narrowed at the small angel, Formoir moved closer to Bal's shoulder, his voice calculated,

"She made a bomb by building up her power before escaping when it goes,"

Bal held up by a few strains, his gaze scanned around the trees, the string that used to be held up burned away the only one lefts are the ones holding them,

"This is what I've been contemplating this, for months and she throws a curve ball," Bal empthasied

Bal and Formoir observed there soroundings then the strings under them where cut off leaving them falling, Bal eyes widen slightly his hands grasping onto Formoir, he flet the strings through his fingers, getting caught onto the buring trees, he jolted he felt his arm being pulled as Formoir looked through his hand, seeing Bal holding onto him his other hand reached out the strings that appeared at his finger tips caught onto the tree, the strings burned from the fire on the tree halting there descent, they thrashed from the sudden tangled, Bal curled Fomroir into his chest his eyes fixated on him his mixed colored eyes gleaming with viguer,

"Fomoir, where are they? Where has the day star gone?" Bal hushed his arm, dangling them closer to the ground. Formoir stared up at his host, his voice a critical purr.

"Close…so close,"

Fire burned through Bal`s chest. Bal let out a pain cry, his hand dropped Formoir, he stared at the blade, stunned, his hand faintly closed to the burning blade, it burned hoter then when it scattered, it burned more than a branding iron. Blood seeped through the wound, falling into a pile of ash. Bal coughed, his eyes drifted behind him, a fire that matched the one in his chest. Silver hues on fire her sword, dragging deeper into his chest with her fire curling around her, heading to Formoir. Bal glared at her, his eyes narrowed,

"Burning me away, how ironic are you, silver flame," He purred

Avalon's gaze squinted, observing him trying to pull his hand, holding him up with a small smile noticeable to him. She pushed her sword deeper into him, Bal croaked in pain, fanning it out from the wound, his hand twitching, calling back his strings.

"My strings," He whispered

He peered at the trees, his strings broken turing to ash in the wind. His lips curled into a small grin, even with his breath shortening, Avalon nodded her voice a stern, cold murmur

"Yes, your string, if I were you i would worry about your chest."
