The Duan Family's Chinese-style garden villa is quite large, and even though it's the Spring Festival holiday period, there are still bodyguards outside for protection.
Duan Xingye is playing in the garden with Erha and the Cloud-swallowing Beast. Erha is a dog he adopted from a classmate's house, but later due to his busy studies, he left it to his fourth uncle to take care of. His fourth uncle is willing to take care of the dog but finds it quite annoying.
The Cloud-swallowing Beast doesn't like playing with the silly dog; rather, it's interested in the flowers in the garden, often chomping down on a bud and tossing it onto itself, basking in its own beauty.
Duan Xingye chases after them, gasping for breath, bending over and panting: "You guys can play by yourselves. I'm exhausted. I think my aunt and uncle are back. I'll go check it out and grab some water."
Duan Xingye turns around to head back for a drink.
