The time had arrived for battle. The leader had already told the tribe to open the stadium. Traditionally, the stadium would only be opened on the day of the competition, which was going to be held in 9 months. But this time, the leader had changed its way of doing things.
The tribe members complied. The entire stadium was cleaned in a whole day before, and now all of them were sitting on the respective chairs.

The battle stadium could be divided into six parts, but right now, there was only one battle, so the entire battle stadium was just for the two of them.
It was so big that a normal person could not see the end of it. He had not expected it to be so big.
Finally, the leader went to the stage and started to speak in human language.
In these four months, almost all of them had learned human language. This was not done naturally. Axel was a vital part of their current success and the leader felt that they should understand Axel's language to get proper benefits.
"Hello, everyone, to the stadium. I am your leader and your host. Most of you, I mean all of you, must be thinking why I have opened the stadium? It is for a simple reason. I have decided that we are going to win the next competition."
These words were said in conviction and determination. Instantly, the crowd started to go wild. There were murmurs, and some of them were even shouting.
The leader raised its hand signaling others to be quiet, and finally, after a few seconds, they did.
"I know what you have been thinking. But think about it. We won a lot in this hunt. We have severely wounded our rivals and also the Donphan and Swellow tribes. Of course, we cannot win against the Snorlax and Slaking tribe, but there are still nine months.
And Mr. Hades has agreed to train those who are at elemental ranks and above."
The murmurs started again. Mr. Hades, aka Axel, had been a mystery to most of them. He only contacted and talked to the leader and higher-ups. They knew that they had won big only because of this unknown man. So, some of them started to hope that they might actually win this time.
"Now, I have opened the stadium because I want all of us to train in the stadium. This stadium will be used in the competition. Since it is in our home ground, why not use it to get a good feel of the place where you will be fighting?
For today, there is going to be a battle between two rare rank Pokemon. Both are from Mr. Hades's team, and they want to show us a brilliant performance. Let's watch it and enjoy. But I also want you to analyze the fight and see if they are stronger than you or not."
With these parting words, the leader went aside, and a Primeape came and started to shout out loud in its own voice. It was actually a commentator.
With a loud shout, Staraptor came flying to the one side of the stadium door. It gave two rounds of flying and stood on the ground. It looked majestic as if a powerful cultivator was looking at a bunch of ants in the lower world.

Axel could understand why that was. It was because Blastoise looked like someone who uses its punches and its teeth to fight. It looked like a fighter that fought on the frontlines, and Primeape respected that because they were also the same.

Water beam (Blastoise): While raining, the user can create a couple of concentrated, small, thin, and highly penetrative water beams that would shoot towards the target at insane speed.

These new moves had a lot of potential. The armor was for defense, and the beam was not only for attack but also for control.
After that, he looked at the description of the upgraded moves.

Life dew (Blastoise) (Level 40): The user will concentrate the dew which would help it recover 20% of its health points of itself and its allies.
(Level 45): Can concentrate the power of the dew and use it on a specific ally or itself to recover around 40% of the user's maximum health.

Mirror coat (Blastoise) (Level 40): The user will create a coat that will help it defend against attacks. Their defense will increase by 5%.
(Level 45)The purple coat will help the user absorb the energy as much as possible, which could be used in the next special attack. The execution is faster and more powerful. The user still receives the damage.
Water gun (Blastoise) (Level 40): It is small and slick, and it is faster than before. The penetration power of the move has increased.
Tackle (Blastoise) (Level 40): The move has a knockback effect where the target is pushed more than before.
Chilling water (Blastoise) (Level 40): The user has the power to freeze the water as a fast rate if the water was created by it. It takes a high amount of stamina to do it.
Surf (Blastoise) (Level 40): During rain, the user can summon a large pool of water and use it to attack the opponent. The pool of water is very large, like a sea wave, and it is fast and has a piercing effect. This consumes a lot of the user's strength.

Both of them were looking at each other with a serious expression.
"Are you both ready for battle?"
Both of them nodded their heads.
"Then start the battle!!!"
Immediately, Blastoise started to do the weird dance, but that was interrupted by Staraptor, who came flying at Blastoise with incredible speed. It used its beak to hit the shoulder of Blastoise.
The weird dance that it was doing was for 'Rain dance'. If Blastoise was able to complete the dance this early in the battle, then the battle would have been practically over for Staraptor.
A lot of its moves were aligned with this move, and the power of those moves would increase rapidly.
So, Staraptor immediately used the move 'Tail wind' at full power. The speed of Staraptor increased rapidly. It could not change the direction while using this upgraded version, but it didn't need to. Blastoise was too slow to dodge during the middle of the dance.
The crowd that was cheering instantly became silent. This was a serious battle, and they could feel it.
Blastoise had not used any of its defensive moves till now, so it was affected by the hit. By that time, Staraptor flew high and used the move 'Sunny day'. Now, the move had not been upgraded, but it did increase the temperature of the surroundings. Now, water type moves would be less effective and fire type moves would be largely affected.
Blastoise took that time and shot out a powerful 'Water gun' at Staraptor. It knew that it would have to save its energy if it wanted to win this battle. It had to be patient.
The move was very fast, and Staraptor could not dodge the move properly. The beam of thin and slick water hit its stomach. The move had been upgraded, and it was powerful.
Staraptor started to lose its elevation from that attack. In the meantime, Blastoise used the move 'Iron Defense'.
It controlled its wings and then fired up a powerful 'Flamethrower' at Blastoise.
'Iron defense' might have increased its defense, but not its special defense. With the help of 'Sunny day', the move was powerful. Blastoise knew that it could not dodge the move, so it took it head-on.
While the beam of dreadful fire was going to roast Blastoise, it used the move 'Aqua ring'. Two rings of water surrounded its body, but instantly, one of them shattered, and Blastoise was thrown off the ground, and it crashed into the wall of the stadium.
It was a powerful 'Flamethrower'. Staraptor had used a lot of stamina and power in that move. Because it knew that Blastoise had not gotten serious till now. It was a fire type move used by a flying type Pokemon on water type Pokemon. Nobody would take it seriously.
But that was not all,
Staraptor gave a loud screech and the temperature started to get hotter and hotter. A wave of heat storm started to rise out and all of them moved towards Blastoise. This was 'Heat wave'. The move had been upgraded, too.
While this was happening, the crowd was stunned.
'Is this really the battle between two rare rank Pokemon?'
