"Pawn… PAWNIARD!!!", shouted Pawniard, slashing its sword hands here and there. This was its classic way to show displeasure.
But why was it acting this way? Obviously, when it heard that there was a tribe of Bisharp, it wanted to challenge the Pawniard in that tribe and show its dominance.
"Pawniard, we still don't know how powerful these Pokemon are. Why don't we first train ourselves for some time and then challenge them?"
But how could Pawniard listen to such nonsense? Its enemy was right here, just a few kilometers away. How could it let them go?
Actually, Axel could understand why it was acting like this. Pawniard always had a dominant personality. It may be due to its species nature or due to its passive move 'Warrior's pride', but since all of the Pokemon the team were far stronger than it, except for Koffing, it always lost the battle.
So, it had been passively suppressed for some time, and it wanted to have a victory. After having Pawniard, Axel also realized how a warrior acts when things were not going well.
He could see Pawniard grumbling for no reason, frustrated in the most normal conversation. But now, it would release all of this pent-up anger on that tribe. Before, it could not win because its friends were too strong, but now, it had the chance to fight with its own species.
Yet Axel didn't want it to challenge the tribe because he felt that it was still not ready for it. He had already seen the power of Poliwhirl and also noticed the average battle powers of Primeape in the tribe. He could clearly tell that their body was far stronger than his Pokemon.
So, if Pawniard lost to that tribe, then its confidence would take a deep dive, and Axel didn't want that.
"Pawniard, just give me a month. I will train you to the limit for a month, and then you can challenge them. How about that?"
Pawniard shook its head by slashing its sword hands left and right, doing a sort of dance to show its disagreement. It was looking very cute right now, but Axel knew that he could not say it because this would just be its warrior's pride.
Finally, Axel had to agree to its demand. It had been shaking its head, shouting loudly, and slashing its sword hands for more than 4 hours now. It really had the determination.
"Okay!!! Okay… we will go there tomorrow. But if you lose tomorrow to a member of that tribe, then you will follow everything that I say, got it?"
Pawniard instantly nodded its head, and then it raised its chest with its head held high. It was clearly proud of its power, and it wanted to say that it would not lose the battle tomorrow. It was very confident in itself.
"Sigh, what am I going to do…."

It was a nice change of pace to move out. Axel had yet to make any training plans for those 5 Primeapes because he was so busy with everything. He was happy to see that Koffing had already learned the move 'Poison armor' and also had leveled the move up to a decent level.
"Good job. Now you will learn 4 moves. 'Venoshock', 'Toxic spikes', 'Dark pulse', and 'Endure'."
Axel wanted it to be a tanky Pokemon but also have a range of special attacks that it could use in the battle. Its main battle strategy would revolve around 'Stockpile', 'Swallow' and 'Pain split', but it wanted it to have other strategies too.
'Dark pulse' was purely because it had a dark-type hidden power typing, and it was also weak to psychic types. 'Venoshock' and 'Toxic Spikes' were poison-type moves, which Axel believed that every poison-type Pokémon should learn, and finally, 'Endure' was for defense.
At first, he didn't want a common rank Pokemon to learn so many moves, but he felt that this realm was clearly different and his Pokemon could grasp the concept of the moves faster than in the main world. It was really bizarre. So, he was willing to take the risk.
"You will first learn all of these moves. Don't worry, I will teach you all of them. Then you will train each of them to a sufficient level. But that is not all. Every day, you will fight Togekiss for 1 hour."
Koffing had only one weakness, and that was the psychic type. Axel wanted it to be comfortable in fighting against psychic type Pokemon. It was immune to ground type and was resistant to 5 types.
If Koffing could learn how to deal with a psychic-type Pokemon, its defense effectiveness would rise.
Frankly, Togekiss was not a psychic-type Pokemon, but it was the only Pokemon in Axel's team that knew some psychic-type moves. Also, Togekiss was already very busy with its training, so 1 hour of battle was already too much for it to manage.
But after talking to Togekiss for some time, it finally agreed.
Now, it was time for Axel and the team to go to Bisharp Tribe.

Axel found out that the tribe was not so far. Only 3 hours of travel. But the problem was that they would have to cross the boundary of 3 tribes just to reach there, and it was going to be extremely dangerous because those three tribes didn't like anyone interfering with their territory.
"So, we can only go another way, and it is going to take a day to reach there. Gorn says that the road is not so dangerous and it is relatively safe."
Axel wanted to bring Togekiss and other heavy hitters in this exploration, but since the leader was confident that there would not be any danger, he decided to take the 6 Primeapes, including Garry and Pawniard.
The journey started. Even though it was a day travel, Axel had taken enough potions, antidotes, and paralyze heals.

A small Pokemon whose hands were made of sharp swords was walking ahead of others, humming a low tune of music as if it was enjoying the moment. It was Pawniard.
Pawniard was in a happy mood. It was finally going to challenge someone, and it was going to show its dominance.
Axel looked at the peacefully happy Pawniard and felt a tinge of guilt. Right now, it was very innocent, but soon it would have to kill for living. This was the life of a Pokemon.
As they were walking towards their destination, Axel asked those 5 Primeapes how they dealt with the problem of 'Vital Spirit'.
He got an amazing response. Turns out that there was a plant called Klerry that would help in their sleep and also act as a substitute for the mastered 'Vital Spirit'. So, only the leader had mastered the ability 'Vital spirit'. The rest of them didn't bother to do it and only trained in other things.
This world was truly miraculous.
"Hmm, from now on, all of you will decrease the consumption of that plant and try to master 'Vital Spirit' as soon as possible. The ability is a godsend to your species, and if properly mastered, all of you will become extremely strong."
Since this was the first command of Axel, all of them took it very seriously. Axel also asked why none of them fought with their fist but used spears and swords?
In the main world, none of the Primeape used spears and swords. They used their powerful fist to fight.
The Primeapes didn't really have an answer to it. It was how they did it since they were born. Their parents did the same and their parents did the same.
"Ok, let me see how good you are at using your swords.", said Axel.
It was already evening, and they had set up camp to rest. Axel planned for the strongest Primeape to fight with Garry to see how good their swords and spear techniques were.
The strongest one used a heavy double-handed sword. It didn't feel well fighting against Garry because Garry was a pseudo-king rank Pokemon while it was only an elemental rank Pokemon.
"Don't worry. I will judge you if you lose. I just want to see how good you are in using your sword.", said Axel.
Finally, it agreed to fight against Garry. Both of them maintained a distance of 100 meters and others cleared the area for the fight.
"I will be the referee of the fight and when I say stop, both of you will stop. No exceptions. Am I clear?"
"Prime.."
"PRIME!!!"
"Good. Both of you, ready? Okay, Begin!!!"
Garry rushed towards Primeape to hit it with a 'Thunder punch', but Primeape used the width of the sword to block the attack, and it waved the sword, which pushed Garry back.
After that, Primeape used 'Swords Dance' while Garry used the move 'Bulk Up'. The fight was largely in Garry's favor because it was stronger than Primeape, but Primeape was able to hold its ground, which impressed Axel a lot.
It was using the heavy double sword mainly for defense, as Garry was quick on its attack, but it was able to get some shots in. The sword was big, and it was at least the same height as Primeape. It was very wide too.
Finally, Garry used the move 'Earthquake' which disbalanced Primeape and Garry took advantage to strike it with a powerful 'Double kick'. This made Primeape fall down.
It immediately stood up, and it was quite angry that it was losing. Its whole body blazed in fire as it rushed toward Garry carrying the sword. Axel didn't know which move it was, but its speed seemed to have increased a lot.
"Okay, STOP!!!"
Just when Primeape was about to hit Garry with its new momentum, Axel told them to stop the battle.
"PRIME!!!"
Primeape was clearly dissatisfied with the interval of the battle, but it didn't say anything to Axel. It gave a menacing look to Garry, saying that it was saved today due to the grace of Axel.
Garry had a stupefied expression. It was clearly going easy because Axel said to gauge Primeape's ability, but now this idiot was telling that it was the one who was saved?
Garry might have mastered its anger to some limit but its rage was still here. It was ready to go and teach this Primeape a lesson. Who was afraid of whom?
Suddenly, a gust of wind came out of nowhere, and Garry turned to see what it was. After seeing who it was, it finally calmed down and decided to let this matter go.
It was actually Pawniard.
Since Togekiss was not here, it had given the responsibility to Pawniard to control the anger of Garry when needed, and if something happened, Pawniard was to report it back to Togekiss. So, when Garry saw Pawniard watching it, it didn't dare to do anything.
Togekiss, the boss, was extremely scary when it wanted to be.
"Primeape, I am satisfied with your sword play. I have some sword manuals with me. You can select one of them and train with it."
Axel was actually satisfied with the Primeape's performance. Even though it was losing the battle, it held its ground, and its sword really helped it defend against Garry's attack.
'Maybe Garry should also learn swords and spears. I will ask it tomorrow.'
It was already night, and they needed rest for tomorrow.
