Just when Sari processed everything, the door burst open wider.
"Sari!" Clydelle rushed in, tears streaming down her face, followed closely by her friends, Athena, Laura, Kaoru, Stephen and Marco.
The room instantly became smaller with the crowding of the space and warmer not just with heat but with their genuine concern. Kaoru, her fairy wings fluttering rapidly even in her human form, hovered near the bedpost. "Oh, t-thank the flowers! We t-thought you'd n-never w-wake up! The forest s-spirits were also s-so worried!"
Laura, the elf princess, approached Sari with a scowl that barely masked her concern. She gave a quick, almost annoyed tap to Sari's forehead and immediately pulling it back. "The fever's gone. Honestly, I didn't expect you to survive the night. Don't think I was worried or anything. You're just lucky this forest magic found you convenient to fix."
