The sky was covered with dark clouds all over, thundering occasionally as the darkness lit up with the bright strikes of pale pink lightning.
"Do you think it's a good idea?" A tall man asked behind her.
"I don't know Callihon but I need to take the plunge." She kept moving forward and forward even when the clouds started pouring fat droplets of water upon them.
The man named Callihon nodded. He had served their family for years. He was the beta in command before the birth of Kingston and then served as his protector until he was strong enough to take his responsibilities as the Alpha. It was the time when the Vampires broke down hell upon them and nothing was left.
He was severely injured and couldn't cross the portal but made sure that the Alpha, Clara and several others crossed the portal safely. The Vampires assumed him dead but he lived on and disguised his identity hoping that one day his own will revive back to claim what was theirs and the day seemed to have come.
