"Hands up, nobody move." With several shouts came three policemen holding guns.
When they entered they first saw injured old man lying on ground who has already lost consciousness and a woman holding him with a little girl behind her, and a man standing in front of them with bloodied hands. When they saw the Carl they thought he is the criminal. Police pointed there gun at him.
"Hands up and get on your knees."
Carl frowned at them, he is already very angry and afraid at the mutant old man and now these assholes are provoking him, but he quickly suppressed his emotions, it's not their fault after all he is the only with blood on him other than victims and public has already backed off when that Mutant Old man came scaring them and that old man already took all three criminals, so they took him as the criminal. I raised my hands and said.
"I am not the criminal, my name is Carl, it was me who called you guys, as for those criminals they have already fled. And I think we should quickly send the injured old man to hospital, he has already lost too much blood."
"On your knees" obviously that didn't convince them, they are police they have seen many cases of these types.
Carl quietly stared at them, nobody moved, bystanders are all quietly staring at the scene, they have seen too much today, and these people don't know what should or how should they respond to the situation. Woman who is holding her father quickly shouted at police, seeing that they are trying to arrest her benefactor, she doesn't want to see him getting arrested because he helped her and she is also afraid for her father because he has lost too much blood.
"Sir, please wait, he has saved us from those three criminals who had already fled before you came."
"I think now you would believe me, after all victim has already clarified the issue and I think you should also call a ambulance or old man will really die."
Carl put down his hands.
Leader policeman nodded at his comrades and put down the gun, since victim has already spoken then there should not be a problem, although he has putted down his gun but he still doesn't let his guard down but still acted a leisurely.
Carl obviously saw all this but he doesn't care, he only helped the woman because he can't stand despicable behavior of these gangsters and her scum husband. This is his usual behavior, sometime even if there are people butchered he wouldn't care, but if something touched his heart he would protect it with his life, although this behavior seems a bit lunatic but this is his code of life.
"Alright, James, Robert call the ambulance and transport the injured." Order his juniors, this leader came up to Carl and extended his right hand "hello! I am Paul; can you tell me what happened here?"
Then Carl told him entire story on what happened but changed some things like instead of killing the two underlings he only injured them and instead of how he was attacked by old man, he said that he took unconscious trio and left; after all about old man attacking him, nobody saw it because it was invisible mental attack, other only saw him giving a cared look at old man; as for killing two underling there is no body evidence thanks to that mutant already took them with him and as for a statement, he believed nobody dared to be a witness against him in court, after all they saw him taking two lives of people they dare not to offend.
"These bastards are getting really brave recently." Paul swear for few seconds and looked at young face of young man in front of him "Thank you for your help, if not these people would have harmed more lives." Carl smiled at sincere Paul; he looks like a good cop.
"There is no need thank you, I helped because I think what those are doing is a beastly thing."
During their talk ambulance has arrived and took injured old man, woman and child.
"Alright, it seems you have to come with us to station for statement and I think you also need to see doctor."
"Okay lets go, as for doctor I don't need it, this is not my blood." Said Carl while he took a medical towel from ambulance and cleaned his hand, as expected there is no wound on it.
"You are amazing, hey! Robert you stay here and take statements; and receive forensic department." Paul replied with amazed face and told Robert his next task.
"Leader, I don't want to face those shits alone." Robert replied with a bitter face.
"Today is your turn, Robert; you should do your duty strictly." James hurriedly interjected with a righteous tone, but from his face you can see his gloating expression.
Then Paul took Carl and James in his car to police station, leaving Robert who is gnashing his teeth at James.
After seeing her father is out of danger and safe, and with initial treatment, holding her frightened daughter, Mia ran toward crowd hoping to see her benefactor and personally thank him but she still doesn't find him and finally asked Robert, hoping to get his contact info.
"Sorry, miss he has already been transferred to police station."
Hearing her benefactor had been taken to police station; she couldn't help but start panicking.
"Why was he taken? I told you he is innocent? Why did you take him? Would he be in trouble?"
Hearing the barrage of question he couldn't help but say.
"Miss, don't worry he is just going through normal procedures, he has gone to give official statement."
Hearing him say this she finally calmed down. Thinking of her agitated situation she silently blushes making the atmosphere strange. Finally came a shout that breached awkward silence from ambulance.
"Miss Mia, we ready to transport your dad to hospital, you should come with us."
"Ah! Yes I am coming." Thinking of her injured old man she hurriedly ran toward ambulance.
"Miss Mia, after your trip to hospital you would have to go to police station for further investigation, I think you can find him there." Robert told her about investigation and kindly told her about Carl's situation.
"Yes I will go there and thank you for information." After thanking Robert she left with ambulance, but thinking of her future meeting with her savior she could feel her heart fluttering. 'What happened to you Mia? Don't acts like a child and it's not like you like him.' Thinking at this point she starts blushing.
"What happened Mama, why are you red, are you injured like grandpa?" suddenly came a sweet voice.
Mia looked at her daughter in her arms who is currently on verge of crying with her big cute eyes. She immediately dispelled her ideas thinking of her daughter and her own condition, her eyes went dim.
"Don't cry baby, nothing happened to mama, mama is alright" Mia smiled seeing her daughter's worried face; she felt all of her depression swept away. "Alright baby, after grandpa is well, we will go eat your favorite ice cream."
"Yup!" little girl immediately became excited and nodded like a drum.
Seeing her acting like this Mia can only shake her head, 'children are really carefree.' And looked out of window of back door.
Carl currently sitting in interrogation room looking bored doesn't know that he had thrown a young woman's heart in disorder by his willful actions.
"It's boring man, come on if you have something to ask, then ask, don't acts like a pussy." Carl suddenly looked at one-way view glass, although he can't see through it he can feel people staring at him. After seeing that they still aren't replying, he leaned back on chair and closed his eyes and heightened his other sense, he can feel two people are currently looking at him through glass.
Suddenly two people entered the room surprising previous two people and then there is a lot of noise, looks like they are quarrelling until few seconds later a woman entered the interrogation room with a male. Male stood at back, against the door. He faintly put his hand on his waist with a calm face, but Carl can still tell that the man is currently staring at his movement with a hand on his gun for any unpredictable situation. Then he looked at woman sitting across him, he can tell she is leader among them.
"Hello Mr. Carl, I'm Emma and he is my partner William, we are from Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division."
"That's hell of a long name, don't you think beauty?" Carl smiled at her flirtatious, as for the introduction he obviously knew that they are from Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division
The moment they entered the door after all besides them which department wear their type of clothes. 'It looks like they knew about mutant.' Carl sigh thinking this, he know that the truth can only be hidden for temporary, after all there is not any absolute secret unless he kills everyone at the scene, but he is still surprised at speed Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division responded, it looks like he can't use movies as absolute relevant material, thinking of mutant who is more powerful than he think according to movies and efficiency of Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, looks like I can't act leisurely anymore.
"Please don't worry Mr. Carl we would just like to know, what happened in hotel and we hope you tell us everything and truthfully." Emma acted like she hadn't heard his words.
Looking at this shameless woman he wondered whether thick skin is a necessary course for agents in Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. But he still replied.
"Ms. Emma I think I have told everything to police,"
"Mr. Carl we would like to know about your confrontation against the mutant Purple Devil Eye. We have already confirmed about this news and we Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division deals with powerful evil people who harms society"
So that old man name is Purple Devil Eye, pretty dynamic name. As for saving the society, you of all people who can already change their name from Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division to H.Y.D.R.A [biggest terrorist organisation formed hundreds of years age], but he still can't go against them after all he is too weak right now, finally he decided to tell them but he still can't tell them about the system, so he modified story a little.
"Alright I will help you, those evil people must be punished." Carl replied righteously.
Seeing him finally willing to co-operate Emma raised corner of the mouth a little.
Then he told them. "After I punched their leader unconsciously, I felt danger coming towards me so I dodged instinctively and when I looked aback there was an old man standing in my position and when I looked in his eyes, there was very strong pain in my head and after I woke up, old man has already left with other three."
Emma looked deeply in his eyes seeing if he is lying and Carl also looked in her eyes fearlessly.
"Thank you for your co-operation Mr. Carl, we believe you." Then she stood up and left with William.
Looking at her back, leaving the interrogation room. Carl deeply thought 'it looks like I did not manage to convince me, I'm afraid there will be trouble soon. Looks like I really have to speed up the following plans'.
William sat on driver seat and looked at his partner Emma who is currently frowning in co-driver seat and asked with a worried tone.
"What happened? Emma you are like this since we left police station."
"William what do you think about Carl?"
"Normal, I don't find any abnormalities except his excellent physical fitness and skills." How long had they been partner, he immediately understood her meaning.
"No, you know he has just returned from aboard and there are also no records of where he got these skills and physical training, he is very mysterious, he is not simple as he seems."
"I think you are under too much stress recently, and if you think something is wrong you can write in your report and ask for a detailed background check. Alright you should know we have finally gotten three day vacation, so where are you going?"
"I hope it's my illusion but for safety, I will ask for detailed check." Emma replied while looking outside the window, ignoring vacation question.
William bitterly smiled, she always acted like this way, directly ignoring question she doesn't like.
