As long as it was some kind of energy Sister Orb knew about, she could use the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm to completely block it. For example, Sister Orb could let the Werdlem Signal in or block it from coming inside any time she wanted.
The same goes for souls. She can stop Soul Scans from entering or leaving it. The Soul Energy used for it could be stopped at the gate. That said, as long as it was a soul-related connection, Sister Orb could block it inside the Dimensional Realm.
However, there was a much better use for that feature...
