The 'egg' floated down, right in the middle of the survivors. Many still had their doubts since it felt like everything that had happened before had no meaning. Of course, pretty much no one other than the twins' group would complain. This was one extra chance for them, so why would they?
Immediately, a few of the experts pounced forward, trying to grab the egg. Victor said that no fight was allowed, but he said nothing of taking the egg for oneself. That was a good thing. They could take the egg, and no one would be able to fight them for it. They would have their sweet time trying to absorb while the others just watched.
*Bzzz!*
Yet, as soon as the foremost experts got within a few meters of the egg, a multicolored light appeared. It lashed out like arcs of lightning and fire, hitting those experts head-on. It was too fast, too strong. In a split second, sixteen experts became history. Their bodies and souls were obliterated.
