As expected, Pardikan's group didn't hear the last part. "So, what do you have to say?"
Rifindio sighed, answering them. "Listen, I got it, but I obviously didn't intend to do it. First of all, why would we let you survive? There you are now, alive, with your companions. Wouldn't it have been much better if we had killed you inside the formation instead? It would be one less thing to worry about in case you decided to retaliate."
Pardikan and his companions looked at each other. As much as they wished to, they couldn't refute Rifindio's words. "So what? Will you give them back?"
"To give it back to you, I would have to die!" Rifindio quickly retorted.
"How come I'm alive right now, then?" Pardikan struck back.
