Chapter 8 - Who Is That Girl?

Chapter 8: Who Is That Girl?

Ian traveled from the Philippines to New Zealand, where Queen Archandia resided. As he rushed through the airport, he collided with a stunning girl, sending her belongings scattering across the floor.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," Ian apologized, his eyes locking onto hers. "I wasn't watching where I was going."

The girl smiled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "It's okay, I wasn't paying attention either. I'm just glad nothing broke."

Ian helped her gather her belongings, their hands touching briefly as they both reached for the same book. A spark of electricity ran through him, and he felt a sudden sense of connection.

"I'm Ian Whitlock," he said, holding out his hand.

"Samantha Winde," she replied, her handshake firm. "But you can call me Sam."

Ian's eyes widened as he recognized the name. "You're... Sam?"

Sam laughed. "Yeah, that's me. And you, Ian, are the guy who came back from death. I've seen the headlines."

Ian chuckled, feeling a bit self-conscious. "Guilty as charged. But I still don't understand what happened."

As they walked to the gate, Sam asked Ian about his experience, and he shared his story with her. They boarded the plane, and Ian found himself sitting next to Sam by chance.

As the plane took off, Sam turned to him and asked, "So, what brings you to Queen Archandia's court?"

Ian hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "I'm searching for answers about my past. And you?"

Sam's expression turned serious. "I'm looking for something too. Maybe we'll find what we're looking for together."

As they chatted, Ian discovered they shared similar interests and senses of humor. Sam's laughter was infectious, and he found himself smiling more than he had in weeks.

At one point, Sam leaned over and whispered, "You know, Ian, I think this is the start of a beautiful adventure."

Ian's heart skipped a beat as he met her gaze. "I think you might be right, Sam."

As the plane soared through the skies, Ian felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. He had no idea what lay ahead, but with Sam by his side, he felt ready to face whatever came next.
