Akiko blinked, startled, and forced a nod. "Y-Yeah…"
"You didn't answer your phone," Kiyumi said, folding her arms. "Williard called me asking where you were."
There was a pause as Akiko's throat tightened. "Yes. I… spoke with him."
That alone earned a raised brow from Konami, who immediately leaned forward with that sly little grin she always wore when something was off. "Oho? Does that mean you were on a second date, aren't you?"
Akiko's eyes darted left, then right, anywhere but directly at her sisters. "Well…"
Before she spoke anymore, Wakano, ever the innocent youngest, squinted at her sister from across the couch. "Your face is glowing, sis. Did you change your skincare or something? It's like, radiant."
Akiko touched her cheeks instinctively, flustered. "Huh? N-No… I didn't…"
That was all the cue Konami needed. She sprang from her seat, walked over with theatrical grace, and stood beside Akiko, sniffing exaggeratedly. Then, she leaned in closer.
"Hmm…"
