"Let's go back to your spell for a bit," said Kat, "is it a Rank 2 spell or a Rank 3 one?"
"I was planning for it just to be Rank 2 because I didn't have confidence in managing a Rank 3 spell without it exploding in my face… but it is a bit complicated for a Rank 2 spell and might be why I'm having so many issues creating it…" grumbled Lily.
"Well… I'm pretty sure a Rank 2 spell isn't really going to hurt me. So I could act as a target for your practice!" offered Kat.
"I really don't think I want to do that…" Lily frowned.
"Right but, counterpoint… would it even hurt me? This isn't a piercing spell and the band does nothing to reduce the durability of my skin or the power of my regeneration. I'm sure at Rank 3 you'd be capable of at least hurting me… but at Rank 2? I'm not sure and it would be good information to have," countered Kat.
"I really don't like this…" Lily retorted.
"Okay, how about a compromise-" Kat began to offer.
