The door locked.
Dr. Qin reached out, fumbling for the light switch, but before touching it, he felt a hand…
He jerked his hand back sharply, "Who?!"
Suddenly, the light came on.
What entered Dr. Qin's sight was a somewhat honest-looking face, a familiar one at that: "Dr. Qin, it's me."
It was Ah Wan.
Dr. Qin turned and ran.

Dr. Qin didn't look back; he felt for the hallway stool, about to make a move on Ah Wan, when a voice rang out.

That voice was the sound of a bullet being chambered.
The words were spoken by Jiang Zhi.
Dr. Qin froze in place.
Ah Wan was also struck dumb, scared stiff.
Jiang Zhi was sitting on the living room sofa, toying with a small gun.
"Where is Jiang Fuxi?"
Dr. Qin didn't hesitate: "I don't know."
"Where?" He asked again.
"I don't know."
The same answer.
