At their peak, dragons numbered in the millions, with high-end power occupying nearly half the universe.
But now, the entire Segis Universe probably had fewer than ten thousand purebred dragons, and the number kept dwindling.
Because of this, dragons bred with other races to produce sub-dragons.
The goal was to hope that individuals with reversion traits would appear among the sub-dragons to replenish the number of purebred dragons.
