He Jingyao led Zhixi over to the sofa and sat down.
He lifted his eyes and saw his son still chatting away with the little girl Tang Yuan, as if he hadn't seen him at all.
The man curled his lips, and somewhere along the line, a large piece of oddly wrapped chocolate appeared in his hand.
Zhixi recognized it; it was Xiaobao's favorite chocolate.
Then He Jingyao handed the chocolate to Zhixi, smiling, "Here, this is for you."
Zhixi was stunned for a moment.
Xiaobao finally noticed the commotion, turned his head to look, and just happened to see He Jingyao handing the chocolate to Zhixi. Instantly, he shouted, "Dad, that's the chocolate I asked you to bring! It's mine!"
"Oh, it's yours?" He Jingyao raised his eyebrows and glanced at him.
Xiaobao quickly ran over and nodded vigorously, "Yeah, this morning before I left, I asked Dad to bring a piece of this chocolate when he came to pick me up. I want to share it with Sister Tang Yuan... Dad, did you forget?"
