The assistant pulled the car over to the side of the road and called out to Ji Anning.
Ji Anning looked up in the direction of the director, who was busy, and after thinking, she said, "I'll call him and let him know."
With that, she stood up, grabbed her bag, and walked toward her car.
Once in the car, she finally called Director Beck to tell him she was going home to pick up the kids and that they'd dine together in the evening.
Today she was wearing the same outfit, but because her waist injury had healed, she didn't feel as exhausted, just a bit sleepy. Once in the car, she had intended to take a short nap, but before she knew it, she had already arrived home.
"It looks like we have a guest."
The gate was open, and a car was parked in the yard. The assistant glanced at the car's license plate and said to Ji Anning.
Ji Anning rubbed her groggy eyes and looked toward the car—a red BMW with a foreign license plate.
