"That's good to hear." Said the queen
"I've been worried that you two wouldn't speak to speak to each other " added the queen
"That wouldn't happen. I'm not a person that would ignore someone " I said
"I've only just recently spoken to her" I added
That being said it's true that I've only spoken to her twice in the past two days, she is always surrounded by my fellow classmates whom would prevent me from getting close to her. Verona is very popular so it's nearly impossible to get a chance to talk to her.
"Is that so? I do hope you speak to Verona more" said the queen
"I will try. It won't be easy as she is extremely popular at school " I said
"That's making it hard to to speak to her" I added
"Thant is understandable" said the queen.
"Verona is very beautiful so of course she will be popular " added the queen
I might of just said that but actually doing is harder than you might think. The only time I can actually speak to her is during P.E, other than that there isn't any other time or opportunity for me to speak to her.
"Well I should be going." Said the queen
"It's been great talking to you " added the queen
The queen had left the cafe with her two guards I left a few minutes later. I returned straight home upon leaving the cafe, upon entering my home I saw a leaflet lying on the floor I picked it and my eyes shot open the moment I saw what the leaflet was about.
"The System Tournament!" I muttered
The system tournament is a unique tournament and it's the only one of its kind that is held every four years in the capital city of Frost.All those whom have had their systems awoken can take part in the system tournament, it's Trinity's most popular event in the entire country. The tournament began around five hundred years ago it started out just as a way to test one's system but over time it grew to something completely different than what the king of Trinity of five hundred years ago had ever imagined.
"It's time for the tournament? I hadn't noticed that it was actually drawing near" I muttered
Winning the tournament is a honour upon itself, the reward you receive by winning is unimaginable. The tournament is open to all commoners and nobles alike that is how the king from five hundred years ago wanted the tournament to be like even the current king wants it to stay the same.
"The tournament preliminary rounds begin in two weeks time" I said
"That's enough time for anyone to prepare for the tournament" I said
My family have all entered the tournament at one point or another, so it's only natural that I'll be entering this year's tournament. I may not have a combat system but I do have skills in the way of the sword that I learned years ago in fact my father began teaching me just before he was arrested. I've never stopped trying to learn the sword I've went as far as to ask the former town mayor to teach me as he was a knight himself at some point in his youth.
"I better get started training starting tomorrow" I said
I made myself some dinner after eating then went upstairs to get ready for bed, I jumped straight into I laid there for a few minutes thinking what I would wish for my reward.
The following morning I awoken got up took my shower after my shower I got dressed and went downstairs to make myself some breakfast after eating I left for school. I arrived early as usual I took my seat as usual I greeted my friends as I entered the classroom .
"Yo Keith. Did you get a leaflet about the tournament coming up?" Asked Leon
"Of course I did" I replied
"Both me and Loyd were thinking if we should enter" said Leon
"But decided not to. Even if we entered there wasn't anything we want anyway" added Leon
That's a good thing, it means two less threats to worry about in the tournament. They are two of the people I would ever want to fight cause they will kick my ass I ain't kidding there. Without them entering my chances of winning has gone up a bit if only a tiny bit.
"To bad that our wishes can't be anything that affects our education" said Loyd
That is too bad for Leon and Loyd cause I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they would wish for. Unless the wish is to either to improve the learning area or for the school to receive more supplies for teaching then the wish wouldn't be granted. Without having to come to school Leon and Loyd would spend most of their time in a arcade.
"I'm going to enter" I said
"Do you have a wish or something that you want granted?" Asked Leon
"Yes. I'm not going to tell you" I replied
We continued to talk until Mr Hammond arrived everyone took their seats as he was taking the register. Our morning lessons were the same as ever, Leon and Loyd went to another table to talk with another friend of theirs during lunch, during our P.E lesson I continued to talk with Verona as we were playing tennis again. After school I bid farewell to my friends and went straight home instead of making dinner I began working on my sword strikes and forms as they will be very important during all my matches in the tournament. After two hours of training I came inside and prepare making dinner after eating I went upstairs and got ready for bed I got straight into bed I was still thinking what I was going to wish for.
I awoke the following morning I got up way earlier than I usually did went downstairs made myself some breakfast after eating I went to do some training for a hour before taking a shower after my shower I got dressed and left for school. I arrived at school a bit earlier than I had expected as both Leon and Loyd weren't even here I took my seat as I waited for them to arrive.
When they arrived they were surprised to see me already seated as I'm usually the one who arrives when they are already seated. They greeted me as usual and we chatted about various things until Mr Hammond arrived everyone took their seats as he was taking the register.
"Listen up you lot" said Mr Hammond
"Most likely you've have heard about the upcoming tournament " added Mr Hammond
"Your free to enter however the request that you fill out the required form if your going to absent from school " said Me Hammond
Makes sense that they want to make sure we are actually taking part in the tournament than just skipping school. I'll need to pick up that form it will give me more time to train for the tournament. Our morning lessons were the same, after lunch I went and requested a absent form to able to train for the tournament, In P.E I was with Verona doing Tennis yet again, we did talk about various things. After school I bid farewell to my friends and went straight home, once home I began training straight away.

"I'm definitely going to win this tournament " I muttered
