The two women explorers, who claimed to be pure-blood half-dragon people, didn't seem to have a good impression of mages at first, and it was quite obvious. However, after some interaction, they might have realized that our group had various quirks that suited their tastes. The initial rejection and indifference finally faded a lot. I also noticed that their feelings towards us weren't genuinely hostile, just a simple lack of favor, which naturally made it easy to draw closer. This was a good development.
Honestly, I think I shouldn't have pretended to be a mage from the start; any random identity like a road tripper would probably have been better...
