The soft and slow electronic synthesized sounds came from a distant place, gradually seeping into every nerve, awakening the sleeper little by little without seeming abrupt. It wasn't music but a resonant sound instantaneously adjusted based on the sleeper's brain waves, using a slight deviation in mental state to comfortably transition the person out of dreamland as if naturally waking up. In the hazy view, the simulated sunlight gradually brightened in the room, set at just the right speed to let the sleeper adjust to the surrounding light before opening their eyes. The oxygen-rich environment and a gentle breeze also began to blow, making for a perfect morning—a pile of exasperatingly perfected high-tech offering the most comfortable awakening.
My eyes hadn't even opened, and I was already awake. Then, as if rehearsed countless times, I swiftly shifted my upper body to the left with a quick flash.
