"Did you really agree?" Adrian asked once more, staring at the woman in front of him, seemingly still in disbelief.
Charlize didn't answer this time, just shrugged.
"Alright..." He chuckled bitterly, squeezing the bridge of his nose with some frustration, "You should understand, I had them find you hoping you'd turn them down for me."
"Oh?" Charlize raised an eyebrow in mild surprise, "Isn't it that you wanted to agree but were too shy to do it directly, so you had me do it instead?"
Undoubtedly, she was doing it on purpose. Adrian was both irritated and helpless, glaring for a moment before saying, "What did you agree to? You haven't acted in movies."
"They said the role is just a vase, doesn't require much acting skills. I visited your film sets a lot while doing secretary work, have also produced a few TV shows over the years, I'm familiar with the drill," Charlize said in a cheerful manner.
