"What happened?" In the chaos, the first voice to ring out was Summer Ford's confused question, but before any answer came, a muffled gunshot suddenly sounded in the cabin, shattering a crystal lamp overhead with a "crack."
Before the room went completely dark, Summer Ford saw nothing except the spot where the crystal lamp connected to the line fell, right above... Ethan Laurent's head!
"Ethan, watch out!" Her reaction was swift. Though the scene was still pitch black, relying on her senses to locate, she tried to rush over, but when halfway, her body unexpectedly crashed into a wall of flesh.
A familiar refreshing scent hit her nose, and before she realized the situation, she was embraced and pushed backward onto the thick carpet.
The sound of the lamp shattering followed with a "crack," accompanied by sporadic sparks falling around.
