"It's okay, it's okay, don't be so silly like today again." Pulling her into his embrace, he lifted his hand and awkwardly patted her back, his voice unknowingly tender.
Summer Ford wasn't sure if she heard him or not, as she lay on his shoulder, still softly sobbing.
"If you encounter a situation like today again, just walk away, or call me to handle it," Ethan Laurent thought for a moment and added.
"Mm." Summer Ford responded vaguely to him.
"Let's head back first." Ethan Laurent, disturbed by her tears, gently pushed her to sit in the passenger seat, fastened her seatbelt, and then started the car to drive away.
The villa for the two of them was quite close to the sea, and it only took a few minutes to get home.
Summer Ford's head felt heavy, seemingly a bit tired. When they arrived, her head was leaning against the car window, and it wasn't clear if she had fallen asleep.
