In a quaint courtyard in Yanjing, a middle-aged man is having tea with an elderly man.
"Dad, Luo went to Hengdian," the middle-aged man quietly said to the old man. "He'll probably stay there for two to three days. Should we make a move?"
The old man sipped his tea leisurely, as if he hadn't heard the question.
The middle-aged man didn't press further and simply waited in silence.
"There have been too many issues lately, let's hold off for a while," the old man said after a long pause, exhaling slowly. "Right now, several other families don't just want our interests; they want us to fall. Compared to that, this kid's matter isn't that important."
"I understand, Dad," the middle-aged man replied, somewhat disappointed but not expressing much.
Just as the middle-aged man was about to leave, the old man added softly, "But there's bound to be someone looking to take advantage."
The middle-aged man's eyes lit up, immediately grasping the old man's implication. "I understand, Dad!"
