After looking at kid's rooms she shook her head. The girls had their own rooms but all the rooms literally had just basic things added. She took girls by the hand and roamed the house from top to bottom with ever-growing enthusiasm.
''So much to do. So many ideas. I wish I had something to paint on so I can make plans.'' But small hands pulled her towards walls and pointed at it.
''Sister...'' Na'an finally could take word after being outnumbered by his sisters. ''If you want new changes there is the wall. Just tap the wall three times and make a plan for that room. It will show you the basic plan and options that you can choose for free or buy for stones. Look...''
He tapped the empty wall and screen opened on the wall with a convenient frame with many options on the side. She looked through options and sighed. ''Is there no option where you can choose to invent your own design?''
He nodded and pointed at the sidebar. ''There is it, but it's hard to invent new things as you have to consider so many things. Are you sure you want to invent? If the main elder thinks you invented something seriously good he will buy off the invention and pay you part of the sale for that. Like you invent a table that looks nice. Someone thinks it is nice, buys it, half goes to the sect and another half to you.''
She nodded. ''That is a nice way of earning money as well. Well as long I don't have to pay it if I invent it, it is fine.''
Na'an thought about it and nodded with a huge smile. ''You are right. Inventions, even if they are later expensive, are free for the one who invented it.''
Mei Ling just gave up. They will have guests so she ordered in mid of living room two huge tables with chairs and set up plates, cutlery and glasses.
The kitchen area was actually quite big as well, so the cooking place was in a corner (no electricity or gas ovens). But there was a cooling box for fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy. All different for each specification. She shrugged and took those as well, in middle was cutting counter and on sides were hung different pots and pans.
She was not happy with this kitchen but there was no other option. Literally. She just gave up and went first to each girl. The youngest got her favorite color theme, white with blue and older pink. She chose nice beds, learning tables with chairs and closets for them but was still not happy with the quality, it seems she needs to work on that long.
In Na'an room, she just added a couple of things he will use later on. As a boy, he needed more things and she still had no idea about the sect system and what power users needed.
When she passed Nalan Ko's room she was surprised to see it completely the same as before."Mother, do you not plan to make your room more... comfortable?"
Nalan Ko sighed and shook her head. "I lived in prosperity for a long time. I want to rebuild this room by my own taste bit by bit. What about you?"
Mei Ling shook her head. "I will do the same. The truth to be told I don't like any of those designs there are as options. I plan to invent my own. The bed I can use as it is. But the bathroom... And then there is something strange. I font see toys, room accessories and many other convenient things."
Actually Mikey before becoming Mei Ling was a simple person. But even in her simplicity, she liked her room to have some 'flair'. But empty walls and rooms felt so strange. Coming from consumer society, she found simplicity quite strange.
"Then explain. Maybe we can all help?" Nalan Ko was actually interested.
Mei Ling shook her head. "I need a plan first. Then I need to make more stones. Inventions will take longer time probably. And we need money. By the way, how do I expand my nature powers."
Nalan Ko finally laughed. "Well, that can wait as well. Let's buy some groceries. Will you help me cooking tonight?"
"We want to help as well!" The three children were actually almost glued to Mei Ling and wanted to join the fun.
"Good. Then we cook today together. Let's go shopping." Nalan Ko just took the bag with stones and held Mei Ling under the arm. "Now it is my time to snuggle bit with her. You all have her whole day. Let's go."
When they stepped in the street Mei Ling was amazed. People strolling around, talking about this and that and some even waiting in line to exit. Every corner had an array where you could just exist out the city part, just the way you entered."
When they exited, Mei Ling smiled brightly at officer making him all shy. "Officer, I added a couple of basic changes to our house. How long will it take to change?"
He looked at the house and just smiled. "It will be done in two hours.'' Suddenly sand hour was shown and she just shook her head. This place is really different. But isn't it even better? No minutes, no seconds... no rush.
She just nodded and then left with Nalan Ko while those soldiers saw three children arguing who will hold her other hand. On the end, Na'an successfully made his point as he said he needs to start going to official school since he found power and won't be often around her, but didn't tell them she would have to go as well.
As said before. The mid if town contained just a few tens of buildings, but they had subspaces as well. When they went towards the tiny store and Nalan Ko told her what she planned to buy, Mei Ling wondered how do they plan to buy all that, but the moment they passed the door, the huge street opened and suddenly amazingly noises appeared as well.
It was literally the whole market... these subspaces re really something else...
