Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Everyone's Spirit corresponds to something in reality. Beast Spirit, needless to say, directly corresponds to existing wild beasts or Spirit Beasts. Some Tool Spirits are also directly taken from nature, such as Blue Silver Grass, Nine Star Sea Tang, and so on.

But some Tool Spirits are processed products, such as hoes, sickles, hammers, swords, and even food... Have you ever thought about why?

Bloodline gives the Spirit its form, spirit power gives the Spirit its substance, and Spirit gives the Spirit its soul. But sometimes, a strong enough will can override the other two regardless its not important as all martial soul has commonalities

Any martial soul has three sides which respectively represent a person's bloodline, spirit power, and mental force collectively called elements of the spirit which correspond to the three treasures .

This is a stable structure; under normal circumstances, it is very difficult to destroy it. That's why the Spirit Master cultivation system has been able to continue for tens of thousands of years, and it's also very difficult to modify it.

However, there are differences between people, just as there are no two identical leaves in the World, there are no completely identical people in the World.

Even with the same Spirit, appearing identical, there are differences in the spirit power and mental force within. But no matter how great the difference, the overall structure of the Spirit remains unchanged; it is a triangle!

And the total length of these three sides represents the current physical quality of the human body, including body, aura, mental force, and so on.

If a person's bloodline power is very strong, but their mental force is average, to ensure the stability of the Spirit, their spirit power will be very high... But no matter how high, the three combined still represent that person's physical quality at the current stage!

Since the formation of the spirit ha a stable structure. Any change in one of the Three Elements will cause changes in the other two. As long as the sum of two of the can outweigh the third, the Spirit can be stably inherited, and the overall structure always remains a triangle.

If the sum of two doesn't outweigh the third then it will cause the Spirit to self-compensate, which is mutation!

For example, when bloodline is insufficient, the Spirit will excavate more bloodline power from the body, including from parents, or even ancestors.

When spirit power is insufficient, it will also excavate higher Innate Spirit Power from within the body—which is what can be called 'beneficial mutation'!'

The physical strength you consume can be replenished through eating, and the spirit power you consume can be restored through cultivation, but what about the mental force you consume? You can recover it just by sleeping!

Physical strength and spirit power both require external replenishment, so why doesn't mental force? Because it is inherently infinite and boundless, constantly in a state of consumption and replenishment.

What we consume is only a very small part of the mental force we can normally access! When a Spirit awakens, it only excavates a portion from that infinite mental force to form the mental force component.

The most perfect cultivation is naturally when the three elements of the Spirit are balanced, like the three sides of a triangle being equal in length. This not only allows for a high tolerance for error but also promises a sufficiently broad future.

But currently, many Soul Masters only focus on spirit power, believing that once their spirit power reaches level ten and can no longer be improved, they will hunt for spirit rings to break the limit and continue improving, while neglecting the dual improvement of bloodline and Spirit, which means they haven't truly reached the limit of their physical capabilities.

And when acquiring a spirit ring, the Soul Master's physical fitness and Spirit will also be strengthened, which means the three sides of the triangle will increase in length. It's just that in order to maximize improvement, there is the so-called optimal spirit ring configuration.

Little do they know that as long as the three elements—bloodline, spirit power, and Spirit—are all raised to their current stage's limit at each stage, even if all white spirit rings are hunted, the Spirit can still steadily improve, and the future will be broad enough!

But if the balance of the three elements is ignored, and the direction planned for the Spirit is always skewed, coupled with only focusing on spirit power level while neglecting bloodline and Spirit, then the triangle will become increasingly narrow, and eventually, one will find that no matter how they cultivate, their spirit power cannot progress.

This is the so-called Soul Master bottleneck!

In this situation, unless the deficiencies are compensated and the imbalances are alleviated, one will remain at that level for life. If the imbalance is in the bloodline, it can even be inherited by offspring such as the seven treasures sect.

Self-cultivation should inherently be about continuously strengthening essence, qi, and Spirit, ultimately achieving the convergence of the three flowers at the crown. According to Taoist theory, it requires specific Refining Essence into Qi, Refining Qi into Spirit, and Refining Spirit into Void, which are three separate steps for refining essence, qi, and Spirit, so that all three can advance simultaneously.

But in this World, a Spirit directly appears, which is a combination of essence, qi, and Spirit. Cultivating the Spirit is cultivating essence, qi, and Spirit…

To cultivate a martial spirit, one needs to make the best use of one's strengths and overcome one's weaknesses, and to exert and strengthen the advantages of the martial spirit. As for the shortcomings, one should mainly make up for them, but one should not deliberately strengthen them, as that will only make the spirit master mediocre.

But even with such an obvious cultivation system, over ten thousand years, only two individuals have been able to transcend through cultivation: Sea God and Angel God although part of the reason is undoubtedly the lack of knowledge and understanding about cultivation part of it is definitely the required energy and resources needed to achieve that level and realm of cultivation

Not to mention there is definitely a reason why the God Realm is called the Douluo God Realm named after this plane although it has the highest potential among the many cultivation systems of the planes under the God Realm it is ultimately just potential not strength as it is up to the practitioner or cultivators to reach and develop it to it's peak
