For as long as I can remember I've been alone. My parents died in a pokemon raid, so I've been raised in the orphanage my whole life. I live in the Conok Region the largest region to date, there is just one problem, only 1% of the entire region is in human control. The other 99% is in control of Emperor and Demi-God class pokemon.
Who am I, you might ask. I have no name for as long as I've been alive I've been unnamed. This is due to me always being in groups so as to not get one. However to go to Trainer School I need a name. So I decided to call myself Grey, based on my hair and eyes.
Grey is a young boy whose 4 years old. With fossil grey hair and eyes. He usually wears a light-blue sleeveless t-shirt and black shorts.
In the Conok Region going to Trainer School is mandatory and so is staying inside of the town. That's because in the thousands of years humanity has been here we only just got 1% of the land under our control. School begins tomorrow so I better get to bed now.
====Next Day====
The Trainer School building is in the middle of town, it's also known as the Trainer Institution. Where we are pokemon raids are a real possibility. I heard in other regions don't have to fear the pokemon raids, I often wonder when this region could be just like that.
Entering the school I head to my class and hand my registration to the teacher standing at the door. Looking in the classroom it seems I'm here early as there is only one other person here besides me. I decide to sit near the back as there are less chairs there so no worries about having to get to know someone else.
Waiting takes a long time most of the kids get here before the bell rings and those who don't are scolded before sitting down. The teacher at the front introduces himself.
??: Hello class my name is Mr. Burns. I will be teaching you for the next nine years of your life, today we will be going over the different Trainer types and what it takes to be one of those types.
We then got a break down of all the types that goes a little something like this:
Pokemon Trainers - The most basic type. You are considered a pokemon trainer if one trains and
raises a pokemon to fight
Ace Trainers - An ace trainer takes on the international league. Considered the most prestigious of
the free roaming trainers
Battle Trainers - A trainer who fights alongside their pokemon. The rarest of the 3 due to most not
having what it takes and for it's danger.
With that done he leads us to the forest out back. Unlike other regions in the Tohoku region we get to catch our own pokemon to raise when we go to school. This is mainly done so we may protect ourselves should a pokemon raid happen. We are given 3 pokeballs, just in case we fail or if we want more than just one pokemon. Most will only catch one due to the difficulties in properly raising a pokemon.
Mr. Burns: Now make sure you get back here within the hour. Or we will come find you and should you be playing around you will be punished, now go.
I seperate from the class and go towards the mountains. In the forest the mountainous region isn't very popular as everyone wants to catch pokemon that they think are cool or cute. I intend to catch a Magnemite that are usually found around that area.
Along the way I run into a Tohoku Oddish. It has a dark red body and brown leaves, with beady blue eyes and a smile on its face. Unlike most other Oddish, tohoku Oddish have an alluring scent to attract prey to feast on. I wait until it's off guard then I throw my pokeball straight at it's head. It connects and the ball shakes 3 times and with a click it's captured. With it only being 20 minutes since we went in, I decide to continue onwards to get a Magnemite.
10 minutes later I'm finally at the mountainous region, after looking around for a bit I spot a floating golden ball with black magnets on both of its sides. I found a shiny Magnemite, shiny pokemon are known to be stronger than a normal pokemon but they are also usually more aggressive due to being isolated from their own kind.
I try to sneak up on it but it looks straight at me and doesn't take it's eye off my. I decide to test my luck by throwing my pokeball straight for it. My pokeball misses but the weird thing is instead of attacking me it just looks at my pokeball and presses the button on it, the ball shakes 3 times and with another click I have a magnemite. I don't know what to make of what just happens and decide to let out both of my pokemon.
Magnemite: Magnemite?
Oddish: Oddish?
Both of them spoke in a confused tone, as if wondering why I let them out of their pokeballs so early. So I decide to tell them why they are out of their balls.
Grey: Hi, I am your trainer now. My name is Grey, I let you out so we can get to know each other better.
They seem to understand what I said. So we go back to the teacher. I think raising two pokemon is enough for now. When we get there I see most of the kids went with getting Charmander, Poliwag, or Oddish. They are the most common to see around here. Afew but not many chose to go with Parasect, Maril, or Electrike. I seem to be the only one here with more than one pokemon, and a shiny on top of that.
When the teacher sees what pokemon I have he seems surprised and amused. I only look at him confused. After that nothing else really happened just choosing nicknames for our pokemon I decided to call Magnemite: Aurum, and Oddish: Radish. Then we were told to go home.
After arriving at the orphanage I show my pokemon my room and where I sleep and ask if they wish to sleep in their pokeballs. They both shake their heads and sleep around my bed as I tuck myself in for the night.
