Their scales were a deep obsidian black, absorbing nearly all light, while sharp ridges of translucent, glass-like crystal jutted from their backs, wings, and tails.
Their eyes were molten silver, pupils razor-thin, and each one focused entirely on him.
Martin's gaze swept over them.
"Blackdemon Obsidian Drakes.
"Level 5 - Atmosphere" he muttered.
These were not simply stronger versions of lesser drakes they were apex predators of the atmospheric tier.
One of them could annihilate hundreds of Level 4 drakes without effort.
A thousand of them… no, even a hundred here could erase the entirety of the earlier stages combined.
