In a lowered voice, she asked, "Didn't you say the He Family didn't really think highly of Kali and would definitely force He Feichen to break up with her? Why did they suddenly agree to cancel the engagement and so publicly support Kali?"
On the other end of the line, Qin Nanyu seemed to have expected her call and deliberately mimicked her low voice, "I'm not clear on the specifics, but He Feichen and Li Jiao's engagement has indeed been canceled."
Ji Weitian frowned, "Are you hiding something from me? You just told me that He Feichen was supposed to be away from T City today; where did he go?"
Qin Nanyu's answer was that he didn't know.
He wasn't helping He Feichen hide anything; he really didn't know.
