When they finally returned, both Lory and Lucas looked utterly drained. Lucas could barely keep his steps steady; his complexion was pale, and the sharp light in his eyes had dulled. Fredhardt, who had been waiting for them, saw Lucas' condition, and immediately stepped in to support him.
