I guess today was a big enough disaster, even after the bullying, my uncle walked to me with luggage filled with what I guess were what little clothes I had. After about 3 minutes of silence, my uncle finally said, "You are no longer living with us."
"Why?" I said, but I could already tell that it was because of the so-called 'accident'.
"Because the police said that you might have tried to commit suicide, so we are no longer letting you live with us," he said, while I could see the rest of the family looking at me with barely concealed smiles.
"Then where do I live?" I said, but again I already knew the answer. With a mocking smile, he said, "Don't know, don't care. I was grateful to pay the hospital bills, so you don't have to worry about trying to pay them."
I knew that my uncle was a well-paid man, but he wasn't rich, and his family lived an ok life. They made me live in their garage since I was young, and I barely ate. I couldn't eat because I was shorter than the average 17-year-old, and couldn't find work because I was too weak.
After they left, it took me three minutes to fully understand the system.
