Chapter 327 - Chapter 306: Expansion of the Divine Realm

"....What are we going to do?" Lie Yan nervously asked, looking at her seniors for guidance.

"What he said, if I understand it correctly, means that he would be released in 110 years? Is that really possible? Those seals we placed on him are probably the highest level of sealing in existence!" Ji Dong bit his lower lip, frustration and anger bubbling inside of him.

That seal they placed on Shibai Ōtsutsuki wasn't made from the combination of ordinary divine laws they typically used. They draw upon the very depth, the essence, of their respective divine laws—similar to what a blood essence is.

It would take them eons to recover the amount they used against Shibai Ōtsutsuki. And if what he said was true, then that meant they wouldn't be able to use that sealing technique again on him!

"Dammit!" Ji Dong struck out, punching at the empty deep space. It looked as if space had become a broken mirror, his punch had caused intense temporal and spatial distortions.

Now that the fighting was over, the weight of despair and sorrow from the destruction of their homeworld finally came crashing down on Ji Dong and Lie Yan. Their divine flames flickered unsteadily, no longer fueled by wrath but by grief.

As God Kings, they have the authority to bring their friends and relatives into the Divine Realm; elevating their cultivation to Officer God and letting them live their immortal lives in paradise.

But almost all of their friends and relatives preferred living their mortal lives in peace.

Unlike certain planes that don't let their cultivators' lifespan increase by a lot when they advance their cultivation, the Five Elements World can with those who walk the path of a Yin Yang Spiritual Master.

The best example was that Ji Dong's Great-Great-Great Grandfather who was still alive... until now.

Ji Dong and Lie Yan embraced each other, tears spilling silently into the deep space.

Though their bodies still radiated the majestic oppressive aura of God Kings, at that moment they seemed unbearably fragile — just two orphans of a world that no longer existed.

Sheng Ming sniffed, feeling her chest tighten.

As the Goddess of Life, she highly valued the sanctity of life above all else. To her, every mortal heartbeat, every fragile soul born under the heavens, was a miracle worth protecting.

With the exception of the Ōtsutsuki, of course.

Up until now, the planets and stars they've destroyed in the process were all dead and withered.

And yet... an entire world, countless lives she could never count, erased in a single instant. The once-vast ocean of life-force that had always surrounded her was now a hollow void, like a forest burned to ash.

Her hands trembled. She pressed them to her chest, as though trying to hold together a wound no healing could mend. "All of them...gone," she whispered.

It was unbearable, as if a piece of her own divinity had been torn away.

"Hui Mie..." she softly muttered, turning towards her husband.

The God of Destruction stood apart, his figure wreathed in faint motes of destruction. His jaw was tight, his expression hard as steel.

But Sheng Ming, who had walked beside him since their days of mortality, could see the storm raging behind his cold eyes.

He holds dominion over destruction and annihilation, but that doesn't mean he actively seeks unnecessary ruin.

His power was meant to bring balance in the universe, the other side of the coin to Life.

To outsiders, he was feared as a butcher of existence, a force that would one day grind even stars to dust.

But Sheng Ming and others that knew him, he was a pacifist. He preferred a quiet and calm life.

"...." Hui Mie didn't say anything and wrapped his arms around Sheng Ming.

For a long moment, they simply held one another — the twin pillars of Destruction and Life, clinging together in the silence of an empty cosmos.

After a long while, someone let out a loud cough.

Tang San straightened his expression as everyone looked at him.

"Regardless of whether that monster was speaking the truth or not, the point of the matter is—the threat isn't neutralized. Whether it is a hundred years or several eons, in the end, he will return. We just need to be prepared to handle him, and make sure he stays gone."

"I propose we return to the Divine Realm and stabilize the situation there first. There is still the matter about his kin, the Ōtsutsuki Clan. Unfortunately, because of their strange resurrection technique, we can't expect to destroy them thoroughly."

The Ōtsutsuki Clan's resurrection technique was simple and terrifying. It relies on a seal called the Kāma seal, a living backup of their genetic data implanted into a vessel.

Upon the Ōtsutsuki's death, the Kāma gradually rewrites the host's body, eventually replacing their personality and resurrecting the Ōtsutsuki in the vessel's form.

The terrifying part about this resurrection technique was that it's not limited to just one Kāma seal. The only issue lies on a suitable and compatible vessel.

But that wasn't an issue for the Ōtsutsuki Clan now, since they've conquered countless planets from their universe and here. They've managed to cultivate entire civilizations into potential vessels. Entire bloodlines bred like cattle, each generation refined for compatibility with their accursed seal.

Hui Mie nodded, forgoing his usual disdain for Tang San at this moment. "At the very least, we need them all trapped together," he said, voice low and cold.

"From what I've understood about their resurrection technique, after death, their soul would migrate towards a new vessel. As long as we can get the Ōtsutsuki Clan all together, and either destroy their souls completely or prevent their souls from escaping, then they will be completely annihilated."

Sheng Ming pursed her lips and said, "Is this really the only way? Should we really condemn an entire race to death just because they're our enemies?"

"And why should we not?"

Ji Dong's fingers flexed at his side, combusting with jet-black flames. His expression was terrifyingly wrathful as he said,

"They do not deserve our mercy! They invaded our home, conquered countless mortal planes, and even obliterated my home planet!"

"An eye for an eye, a life for a life! For their crimes they've committed and as Otherworldly Demons, they more than deserve Divine Retribution! If we do not remove them permanently, they would cause unprecedented chaos and misery throughout the universe."

"They are parasites that need to be cleansed from this reality!"

As expected of the God of Evil, he did not mince words. Although his words were fueled by his emotions of seeing his homeworld destroyed, he was also cruelly pragmatic.

To him, a good Ōtsutsuki is a dead Ōtsutsuki.

"..."

As the Goddess of Kindness, Lie Yan should've said something to back up Sheng Ming. To temper Ji Dong's rage, to remind them all that mercy was still a divine virtue.

But as Ji Dong's wife, and as someone who had lost almost everything alongside him, her heart was torn between compassion and vengeance.

Tang San's expression was grave and resigned. Though his body exuded the most murderous intent than any other God, he seemed to be the most composed in the group.

"....Shall we put it to a vote? As per the divine rule of our council, any important decision or disagreement must be put to a vote. To completely destroy the Ōtsutsuki Clan or grant them mercy?"

"To those in favor of utter annihilation of the Ōtsutsuki Clan—speak." Hui Mie's expression was cold and unyielding. His body radiating shimmering destruction force.

"Of course, I am in favor of destruction."

Ji Dong did not pause. "I vote for annihilation. No hesitation. No pity for these monsters."

Lie Yan's throat bobbed. She looked at Ji Dong, then at Sheng Ming, then down at her trembling hands. "I... I vote for annihilation as well." Her voice broke for a moment as she clenched her fists.

"I..." Sheng Ming closed her eyes, fighting with the ache in her chest. "I vote for mercy."

"May they find peace in nothingness. I vote for their annihilation." Tang San resolutely said.

"Four votes over one, the results have shown. We, the God Kings of the Divine Realm, are to personally move and perform complete annihilation of the Ōtsutsuki Clan!"

Although she was saddened, Sheng Ming steeled her heart and shared a determined look with the others.

For their home! For vengeance! For peace!

They will spill rivers of blood across the galaxy and cast divine judgement upon their invaders!

"...What about their leader?" Ji Dong solemnly spoke, glancing at the pocket dimension in which they sealed him in.

They weren't worried any outside forces could find this place. As it was created by the combined primordial forces of five God Kings, only someone as strong as them altogether could ever manage to break in and out.

"How are we supposed to win against him in the future? Unless one of us manages to breakthrough from the God King realm and enter a new one, we'll become helpless against him once more."

Lie Yan nodded in agreement. "And by that time, we'll either die without any resistance...or we'll face a humiliating defeat."

They went silent. If they fail to stop Shibai and his clan, death awaited them. But that was much preferable than the second option—eternal servitude.

They weren't fools. They understood how Shibai and his clan works.

Although they came off as sophisticated and elegant at first glance, there was no denying that look of insatiable desire for power within their eyes.

The Ōtsutsuki Clan would do anything in order to achieve a higher state of being. That was their nature.

And a living, subservient, God King would be a perfect research specimen.

It was why Shibai Ōtsutsuki hadn't gone all out in fighting the five God King, he wanted to gather data about them and combat data of himself for research of a breakthrough to the next Godly Realm!

Tang San fell silent upon the words of Ji Dong and Lie Yan. As their grand strategist and leader that was bestowed upon him by the two previous great God Kings of Evil and Kindness, he had thought long and hard on how to deal with Shibai Ōtsutsuki.

"We need allies. We have to call on the retired Gods to return, especially the three God Kings."

"Furthermore, in this vast universe of ours, there are countless divine realms. From ancient books in the divine archive, written by some Gods who had wandered throughout the universe after passing on their Godly Seats, there were coordinates of divine realms that they've passed by.

With the help of the God of Space, seeking out other Divine Realms shouldn't be too difficult."

"Hmph. That's the easy part." Hui Mie scoffed, folding his arms. "Getting them to ally with us however? I'm sorry, but last I check, none of us here are the God of Charisma. From an outsider's standpoint, the Ōtsutsuki Clan are mainly targeting us—why would they want to risk angering such a behemoth for nothing.

Unless you're absolutely certain that "you" can convince them? Well, either you're optimistic or just a narcissistic fool."

Tang San shook his head, retorting. "That Shibai Ōtsutsuki is a scourge of not just our home, but the entire universe! I'll use my own Divine Consciousness to show them the entire encounter we've had with that monster. That should be enough to convince them to ally with us."

Hui Mie grumbled silently and tilted his head in agreement. He narrowed his eyes as a certain thought crossed his mind.

'This is a good opportunity to bring up the expansion. Tang San's has been a thorn at my side ever since he arrived. I just don't understand what Evil and Kindness see in him to just hand over the control of the Divine Realm's Core to him. Unless...he did something to them? No, that can't be possible.'

Hui Mie has always wanted the betterment of his people and the Divine Realm. He was the leading figure of wanting to expand the Divine Realm so that many new Gods would be allowed to enter the divine realm.

But Tang San had always rejected the idea, saying that he had a premonition that something bad was going to happen to the divine realm.

And it seems like he was indeed correct. But it also backfired as they now needed to gather great strength to resist the disaster.

"I also have a suggestion, one that would help us all. Since we need all the help that we need, I'd like to once more propose the expansion of the Divine Realm." Hui Mie calmly stated. Sheng Ming, Ji Dong, and Lie Yan glanced at Tang San—knowing full-well about his opinion on this matter.

But to the shock of everyone, Tang San agreed. "That might be the best course of action as well. The expansion of the Divine Realm might not only bring us new Gods but also increase our divine powers.

However the energy and materials needed to expand the divine realm is immense. God of Destruction, as someone who has firmly advocated for expansion even before this crisis, I trust that you have already made the necessary preparations for this eventuality?"

Hui Mie raised an eyebrow and smiled.

"Preparations? Of course. Who do you think I am? Over the eons, I've been gathering rhe necessary materials to expand the Divine Realm." He paused, staring straight at Tang San.

Unlike others, he was straightforward and honest so he didn't hesitate to ask the other party.

"Okay. What's going on here? You've been against the proposition of expanding the Divine Realm for so long, yet now you want it to happen?"

"Please trust me, Hui Mie. Considering our current situation, I no longer have the luxury of standing still." Tang San inwardly sighed. He truly didn't want the divine realm to expand around this time, the plans he made for the future required its stagnation.

But as the benevolent God King Tang San who had saved his mortal world, he had to set aside his personal goals for the greater good!

That said, he also has a hidden agenda for finally agreeing to the expansion.

'With Hui Mie and the rest busy in expanding and preparing for visiting other divine realm, I would have enough time to divert my attention on the Douluo Planet. I have to deal with that problematic child.' As the others discussed on their next steps, they didn't notice the cold gleam flashing in Tang San's eyes.

'The situation in the Douluo Planet has dramatically changed. The Child of Destiny can no longer be manipulated thanks to some foreign anomalies. Not even that divine punishment I sent could fix his behavior. Furthermore, the sliver of Divine Consciousness I sent was interrupted by those anomalies and it's only a matter of time before they defeat it.

As expected of the good fortune given to the Child of Destiny by the plane. Even Er Ming and Da Ming couldn't change the situation, damn that Di Tian and lowly beasts!

As if it wasn't bad enough, the "seal" I placed in Dong'er is gone, her true self that is Tang Wutong was erased by some unknown divinity. Such heartless monster! My own daughter!? The other God Kings couldn't have possibly been behind such a thing, nor could Rong Nianbing. But...at least a part of her is still alive. Honey, our Xiao Qi is still alive....'

Tang San quietly clenched his fists, veins popping on his temple but he fiercely took control of his emotions. Since he was the Asura God right now, his negative emotions could easily spiral out of control and expose himself before the others.

He took a deep breath, his murderous intent diminishing.

'Unfortunately, I can't fully descend into the planet or Hui Mie will try to stop me. And I can't use Xiao Qi as an excuse since she isn't currently in danger, and that's another problem if they, especially Xiao Wu, know about her situation!'

'However...as a God of the Douluo Plane, how can I not have other trump cards?'

'He should be able to handle the situation. My disciple and apostle, with the power of a God Officer, he would easily overpower the fortune of the Child of Destiny and retrieve Xiao Qi back.'

'The plane's planar life core should have enough power left to birth a new Child of Destiny. They will be my new chosen dog—successor. So, this Huo Yuhao....must die!'
