The black shield trembled with each blow, flaring with jagged pulses of dark energy. Seeker's team launched strike after strike, the combined force of their abilities splintering the air around the dome. Yet the obsidian force field held firm, thrumming with a steady hum that defied their chaos. Fractures spider-webbed across its surface, glowing faintly before being swallowed by the structure's regenerative shimmer.
Inside, Lowengren was silent as he watched the attacks.
"These brats really got me fighting at seventy percent of my power here! Ugh. And I delayed and wasted too much energy. We were all supposed to surpass our expectations, but Seeker surpassed mine by creating a team far greater than what I envisioned him to be... My loss is because I gauged too lowly of Seeker..." Lowengren thought.
He crouched with one knee to the ground, unbothered by the storm outside. With a slow breath, he placed a gloved fist against his chest.
