Chapter 277 - Yeri went live

One person replied to the comment about Marco Fabian:

"Her relationship with Leo Nafplion is also questionable. I know he was a scumbag, but why did he keep insisting that Yeri was his fiancée back when he was still alive? Don't you think his death was too sudden and brutal? Did the police even investigate his relationship with Yeri Zhi?"

Another comment appeared, completely unrelated, yet still another accusation.

"Is no one going to talk about the golden retriever with her? Look at how its fur is patchy and messy, and one of its paws is still wrapped in gauze. Is she an animal abuser too? This needs to be reported!"

Yeri kept scrolling.

The comment section had turned into a digital coliseum. Thousands of anonymous gladiators hurling insults instead of spears.

Every refresh spawned another wave.

"Gold digger."

"Homewrecker."

"Professional seductress."

"Blood parasite."

The creativity of strangers with too much time on their hands was almost impressive.

She tapped into another article, but suddenly all the articles condemning her disappeared, along with the comments.

Even the marketing accounts that had taken the lead in spreading the accusations were abruptly gone.

Before she could think too deeply about it, a new account appeared on her suggestion page.

It was Saeki's official personal account.

He had posted:

"Yeri is my sister-in-law, and her dog and my Lulu are friends. Naturally, we're friends too. Does no one here get along with their sister-in-law?"

Following Saeki's clarification, A&K Imperial Law Firm, the country's top-notch legal service, with Nathaniel Armour as its representative, also released an official statement declaring that they would pursue legal action against all malicious and slanderous comments and accounts targeting Yeri Zhi and Shin Keir.

Yeri did not need to guess. She knew Shin Keir must be the one behind this, wiping everything away as if he had merely waved his hand.

Even so, many netizens remained unfazed. If anything, they became even more convinced that the allegations were true, believing Yeri was simply attempting to salvage her reputation.

No one seemed to care that among all these accusations, only she was being blamed. None of the men she was supposedly involved with were criticized.

Indeed, society was far harsher toward women.

If she truly were what they imagined her to be, would she have succeeded in seducing these men if they had not given her the time of day in the first place?

That morning, the atmosphere at the villa was unusually gloomy.

Yeri's parents and Jj had woken up only to discover that the nonsense being thrown at Yeri had grown even worse.

Although they had tried to convince Father Zhi to take a break and go play golf, matters at Zhi Corporation kept piling up. In the end, they could not persuade him, and he left for work as usual.

Their legal advisors had already warned them not to act impulsively or post anything online to refute the netizens. For now, all they could do was wait.

However, Yeri had another idea.

After placing an order on a food delivery app and confirming with the legal advisor that it was acceptable, she decided to go live.

She also deliberately wore the pink diamond engagement ring on her finger.

Looking at its bewitching, dazzling radiance, she still could not quite believe it now belonged to her.

She remembered how it had trended everywhere when it was sold at auction.

Back then, she had even thought about asking Shin Keir if she could take a closer look at it someday. It turned out he had intended to give it to her all along.

"It's so beautiful," Madam Zhi commented from the side.

She owned a jewelry shop, and with a single glance she could tell the ring was absolutely genuine.

Yeri nodded in agreement, admiring it as well.

"I remember the price that was mentioned…" Jj swallowed, clearly in awe. "He must really like you to give you a ring like this."

Although their family was wealthy, they could never justify splurging such a staggering amount on a single piece of jewelry.

With this ring alone, Yeri's net worth had practically skyrocketed.

After chatting with them briefly, Yeri finally started her livestream.

The moment Yeri went live, the netizens who had been squatting on her social media page instantly erupted.

Bullet comments flooded the screen so quickly they looked like a waterfall of words.

However, Yeri simply stared at the phone camera, calm and composed, sipping a cold cappuccino that bore the elegant logo of Café Zhillion.

A few neatly plated desserts sat on the table beside her, their glossy toppings catching the light.

"The audacity of this shameless vixen to go live! I curse you and your entire family to never have descendants!"

"Why isn't she saying anything? Does she think playing the victim will reverse the situation?"

"Yeri Zhi, explain yourself!"

"How did you meet Shin Keir? How long have you two been together?"

"Does my baby Tristan smell good? What is he like up close?"

"Prince Saeki is always playful and vibrant on screen. Is he really like that in person?"

"Oh my god! Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that the pink diamond ring that sold at the auction for 80 million?! Please tell me!"

"Yeri, you look flawless! Your skin looks like water. I'll forgive you if you share your skincare secrets, okay?"

"Dog abuser! I already reported you to animal lovers! Watch yourself when you go out!"

"Did you already sleep with Shin Keir? How was it?"

Yeri raised an eyebrow slightly.

Contrary to what she had expected, although there were many hateful remarks, there were also plenty of netizens asking curious questions.

Some sounded like typical fangirls who were more interested in the famous men around her than in attacking her.

After observing the comment flow for a while, Yeri decided to ignore the hate. Instead, she casually answered a few harmless questions.

She mentioned that the ring she was wearing was indeed the engagement ring Shin Keir had given her when he proposed.

She also confirmed that Saeki was just as vibrant in real life as the public knew him to be.

As for Tristan Felan, she said she had rarely met him. The photos circulating online had conveniently excluded the other people who were present at the time.

As she said this, a thought suddenly surfaced in her mind.

She remembered a particular photo from the auction. In that picture, she had been seated between three men. But if she recalled correctly, Calin Ricci had also been there.

So why had Calin been removed from the photo?

Yeri silently made a mental note of it.

Then she continued answering random questions from the comment section.

As for the provoking remarks and taunting accusations, she simply ignored them.

She did not rush to defend herself or seek anyone's approval. Acting desperate would only make her appear guilty in the eyes of those people.

The bullet comments kept flying.

"Look at her acting all nonchalant and even promoting her family's business. Absolutely shameless! Does she think she's untouchable?"

"Shin Keir is so doting! I'm so jealous. Such a huge diamond! Is that really the one from the auction? Yeri, share a tutorial on how I can snag a big shot like Shin Keir!"

Yeri blinked.

Despite the endless accusations, she could clearly see that many of the hateful comments were not born from righteous anger, but deeply from envy, jealousy and mere venting.

A strange thought suddenly crossed her mind.

If she actually started a "gold digger masterclass" and taught people how to enter elite circles and attract the attention of wealthy men she would probably make a fortune in no time.

Distracted by her ridiculous thoughts, Yeri did not notice someone approaching from behind.

Shin Keir walked into the frame without a shirt, his hair slightly messy as if he had just woken up.

It was not until he came closer that Yeri realized he had been fully captured by the camera.

Startled, she almost poked her tonsil with the straw and her hand jerked, the phone shook as she hurriedly angled the screen downward.

For a split second, the bullet comments froze.

Then the screen erupted, comments exploded so quickly that each line flashed by in mere milliseconds, impossible to read.

Yeri's eyes widened. She looked at Shin, who still seemed half awake, and mouthed silently that she was livestreaming.

Shin "…."

Without much reaction, he simply sat down beside her and casually picked up one of the desserts from the table.

Yeri cautiously tilted her phone screen to glance at the comments.

Sure enough, the comment section had turned completely feral, as if the viewers had never seen a shirtless man before.

"Whoa my nose is bleeding! I came here to condemn Yeri but ended up having a heart attack! Mother bless me!"

"Shit, I wasn't wrong right?! My eyes really saw Shin Keir?! Damn, I can finally rest in peace 🕊️"

"Wait, since they're together, does that mean they're already living together? Shin looks so natural like he just woke up?"

"What a sin! My husband has been defiled by you people! It's all that bitch Yeri's fault! If she can't protect my husband then give him to me!"

"Yeri Zhi I really hate you! Huhu~ this world is so unfair!"

"So this confirms they've already been doing it, right? Otherwise why would Shin Keir appear shirtless in front of her?"

Yeri paused while reading, then she slowly lifted her head and glared at the man beside her.

Without another word, she ended the livestream.

"Aren't you supposed to be working? No- When did you arrive?" Yeri demanded. "Why are you shirtless in a place like this- "

She stopped mid sentence, suddenly remembering that this was, in fact, his villa.

Massaging her temple, she corrected herself.

"Don't you know what's going on out there?"

Shin faintly smiled when he noticed the diamond ring on her finger.

"Do you like it?" he asked softly. "That ring should only be worn by you. Don't ever lend it to anyone else."

Yeri merely glanced at the ring before looking back at him.
