A sharp scream echoed through the yard, startling Ming Mei as she had just arrived.
Zhuang Zhixi grabbed his wife's hand, reassuring her, "It's nothing, don't worry."
Ming Mei peeked outside and saw Tao Yuyue standing at the door, screaming. In no time, a crowd had gathered. Her eyes instinctively darted toward the Su family's house, and sure enough, she spotted Su Jinlai's face.
She shook her head, then adjusted her coat and said, "Let's go take a look."

He parked his bicycle, but before they could approach, Tao Yuyue was already storming off. She declared loudly, "I'm going to report this to the police.
