The morning sun rose as usual, and the courtyard was much like any other morning, yet also different. After all, there was now one more person in their courtyard.
Ming Mei yawned and stepped out early in the morning, only to freeze in surprise. After a brief moment of hesitation, she recognized the girl as the "relative" from the Zhou family. Everyone knew what kind of relative she was, even if they didn't say it out loud.
What surprised Ming Mei even more was that the girl was sweeping the courtyard. In their courtyard, the cleaning was rotated among the households, one family per day. Previously, it was nine families, now it was ten, rotating three times a month, which wasn't too troublesome.
However, today was supposed to be her family's turn to clean.
Ming Mei smiled and greeted, "Good morning."
