After Zhao Guihua had finished tutoring her two sons and scolding them a bit, she turned to the two youngest ones. She stressed over and over again, they absolutely must not tell anybody about their hunting ventures, not to mention the roasted fish, chicken, or lamb skewers. All was to be kept a secret.
If word spread, they would end up with nothing at all.
Absolutely nothing.
Not only would they starve, forced to feed on grass, but they'd get a sound beating too - smacked on their butts three times a day!
This scared the living daylights out of the two little ones, both clamping their hands over their bums and solemnly swearing that they would be the most obedient children on earth, not gossipers by any means.
Zhao Guihua: "You're all talk now, but if you forgot as soon as you get home, don't blame me if I stop taking you out, and don't even dream about tasting meat! Do you understand? Will you remember this?"
