Theo and Baskia entered into the dining hall, filled with as many breakfast foods as any person can think of.
Theo motions for Baskia to take a seat. "Have a seat anywhere you wish."
Baskia takes his seat across from Theo, who had sat down already, and was beginning to fill his plate with a load of breakfast sausages, to the point where his plate has sausages rolling off of it.
Whelp I guess I wont be having nay of those to eat, good thing I'm not a huge fan of sausages.
"So... are the breakfast sausages good?"
Placing the last breakfast sausage on his plate, he sets the serving utensil down on the empty plate, and then asks Baskia. "Did you want some?"
"Oh no, thank you. I'm good with what I have now. What i would really like is to discuss the matter with Raion and i's friend Fourth." Baskia pauses and glances at Theo, trying to gage his reaction. "But, I'll wait til Raion gets back. I'm sure that he would alos want to hear what your plans are." Baskia says with a smile as he takes a bite of his toast.
Theo and Baskia sit there awaiting for Raion and Veter to come back. AFter a few minutes have passed, and both of them have gotten a second helping of food. Unfortuantely no breakfast sausages were left. The door swings open and in comes Veter, with Raion following behind him.
"My apologies for being late, I hope we did not make you guys wait too long?" Veter says as his glance at Baskia and Theo's plates. " Ah I see we started eating."
" I insisted that we got started without you two, as we were unaware of how long it would take you. And Baskia over here was getting quiet hungry."
Baskia shoots Veter and Raion a look
I was not! I was willing to wait.
His eyes drifting over towards Theo's plate, filled with all the breakfast sausages. Raions eyes widen, while Veter holds in a laughter.
Veter and Raion both finally take their seats, needless to say, Veter sat next to Theo and Raion, sat next to Baskia.
"The food looks amazing! I cant wait to start eating" A bit of drool runs off the sid eof Raion's mouth.
"Raion, you're drooling, please clean yourself up." Baskia throws a napkin at Raion's face. "Where's your manners?"
Wiping his mouth with the napkin, Raion goes, " You're acting just like Fourth." He says, making a loud huffing noise under his breath.
"Someone has to do it, and also, I heard that. yOu can get started eating, dont want you drowning in your own drool."
"Say no more!" Raion starts loading up his plate, adding on assortments of meats, fruits, bread, pastries and much more. He was even able to snag some sausages. Theo had only taken the breakfast sausage links.
He might be just as bad as Theo, or even worse. I cant tell.
Veter smiles at Raion, as he watches Raion stuff his face with food. "Raion?"
"Yeah, Veter?" He says with a mouth full of food falling out of his mouth.
"I highly suggest you trying the deep-fried eggs. They're splendid."
"Yeah thanks Veter I'll try them right now."
"Tell me what you think. "
He grabs the pair of tongs and picks up a deep fried egg, placing it upon his plate, taking a bite out of his deep-fried egg; while Veter rests his hands on his chin and stares admirably.
"So what's your verdict? Delicious right?" Says Veter with a smile, while still watching Raion.
The dinning hall becomes quiet, as Raion slowly sets down his fork on his plate. Theo and Baskia both had stopped their conversation, and were now both paying attention to Veter and Raion.
"Delicious..?" Raion mumbles, as he looks down at his plate, a smirk starts to form upon his face; with his mouth full of food, he goes. "Delicious doesn't describe it. It's magnificent, wonderful like all my taste buds are having a party! I love it." Raion starts gleaming from ear to ear.
Theo looks over at Baskia. "Is he always like this?"
Baskia has a look of dissatisfaction on his face "Sadly yes."
"Now, I think its about time that we get to discussing the reason why we have all gathered here. Surely it is not for us to share a meal together... " Baskia takes a pause as he looks directly at Theo, then continues what he was saying. " ... as strangers. Theo have you any news on what we are going to do on retrieving Fourth?"
"Well, the thing is, Veter here and I have been discussing the matter."
"And what have you've come to?"
"It is in our best interest to just try and move on from it. The risk is too dangerous for us, and we cant go through that again."
"Again? What do you mean by again?"
Could this have been what they were discussing before?
"Again, I meant that well.. it's..."
Before Theo could come up with an excuse, Raion had started to get incredibly angry and slams his fork on his plate nearly breaking it. " Sorry did I just here you say move on from it?"
"Raion calm down I said I'd handle this remember?"
Raion tightens his grip on the table and gives Baskia a look that nearly startled him. "You better Baskia."
I've never seen him like this.
Baskia looks over at Veter, he could instantly tell by the surprised reaction on Veter's face, that Theo was mainly behind the whole thing.
"I'm sure you'd like to rethink this now?"
"I've... I mean we've made up our minds." Theo says firmily.
"Ahh that's right you decided to help us in searching for Fourth. You were just going to discuss our plans of action."
In that exact moment, Baskia had used his MInd control magic spell, 'Insert Insight' on just Theo. He had only used it on him, because he could sense some form of trust with Veter. He was not sure what, but his gut was telling him to trust that Veter would know what to do.
"Ohh yes silly me what was I thinking. Veter please tell them what we were going to suggest."
Veter slightly confused by what was going on caught the glance off Baskia. Though he didn't know what happened he started to devise a plan. "Oh I um well, we were thinking of taking the Kuni through the canal on the east side of the island. But first, we needed to find Shiri."
I can't believe I just though off all that right now!
"Shiri who is she?" Baskia asks.
"You'll find out as soon as we arrive."
"And when will that be?" Raion asks calmly.
"Yeah, id like to leave as soon as possible" Says Baskia.
He is too calm right now, its a tad frightening.
"There's unfortunately a few things I have to do before hand. It might take a a bit of time before we can head out." Says Veter, standing up from the table, pushing in his chair. He walks around to the other side of Raion and Baskia.
" You're serious?! I can't wait that long!"
"Raion I'm sure everything will be fine with Fourth. Trust me."
"He is right Raion, you should be sure to trust Baskia, he knows what he is talking about. Im sure of it." Veter says, as he places both his hands on one of Baskia's and Raion's shoulders.
Raion and Baskia both say nothing for a moment, finally Veter removes his hands from their shoulders.
" its time that i and Theo head out, feel free to stay here as long as you wish. We have business that needs attending to. I shall see you when it is time for us to leave." With that Veter and Theo leave the dining hall, leaving Baskia and Raion alone.
Sitting there for a few minutes in silence, pondering, Raion finally speaks. "I just hate thinking that he's alone somewhere with out anyone to protect him. "
"I don't think we have to worry about him needing protection. Let's just wait for Veter to take us. He seems to be the only one who can at this time."
" its just, i dont know Veter everything seems off with all of this. Its just a feeling Im having."
" I understand, what you mean. I too have a feeling, but I cant place what is happening on this island and with Theo. Let's just both head back to the room. Im not sure about you, but eatingall this food has made me sleepy. I am in need of a nap."
raion kicks back in his chair and lets out a sigh, "Some of us arent old and don't need to take naps."
Getting up from his chair Baskia pushes Raion, causing him to nearly fall backwards. "It's not about being old or not."
Catching himself form falling backwards, "Why did you do that for?!"
Walking out of the dining hall, Baskia yells back, "You called me old."
Time had passed by slowly for Baskia and Raion, who were waiting the day of their departure. Veter had some business outside of the villiage to attend to before he could take Baskia and Raion to rescue Fourth. After about a day and a half, Veter had finally returned, and it was time to head out.
" Make sure you guys grab everything you need, once we leave there is no turning back." Veter explains as he shoves some gear into his bag.
" Why cant we head back?" Raion asks Veter plainly.
Baskia and Veter both exhange looks and at the same time they shout, " Are you dumb?!"
Startled by the comment, raion jumps back a little. "What?! i was just asking."
Baskia comes over and knocks on Raions head with his fist. " Anyone home in there? Use your brain. WHy would we head back when we are on a time crunch to rescue Fourth."
"Baskia is right Raion, it owuld be a waste of our efforts to head back here. Also i simple do not want to head back either. "
Shrugging his shoulders Raion nods his head in agreement, finishing gathering up all the supplies they would need for their trip. "Alright, I'm ready, lets head out."
And just like that, Raion, Baskia, Theo, and Veter had finally headed out to rescue Fourth.
"We have been walking for ages! Are we there yet?" Raion, walks sluggishly behind dragging his feet.
"We have only been walking for about an hour now... How could you be hungry, again?!"
In a loud exasperated tone "Well my feet hurt and I'm hungry."
Quickly turning around, Baskia places both his hands on Raion's shoulders shaking him. "We just ate an hour ago!"
These two are something else.
Reaching into his back pocket, Veter pulls out a little bag of snacks. " Here, have these."
"Really?! Ican take these?" Raion says with puppy dog eyes forming.
"Stop looking at me like that... yes you can take them."
whispers to Baskia "Why are we letting Theo come with us?"
Baskia: "Well because we can't make it seem like things are different than they already are."
Raion: "But they are different."
Baskia: "Yes but he doesn't know that."
Theo: "Do you think this plan will work Veter?"
Veter: "To be honest I'm not entirely sure."
Theo: "Why do you say that?"
Veter: "Well, I never did this before so I can't say. But if we don't try it we will never know."
Raion: "Baskia?"
Baskia: "Yes Raion?"
Raion: "I like veter."
Baskia: "I do too, Raion."
